The Manufacturing Customer Liaison is responsible for Madison-Kipp Corporation (MKC) communication between several internal departments (sales, engineering, manufacturing, and quality) with our customers which will result in superior quality, new leads, awards of business and a clearer guidance of strategic planning.
This is a full-time role covering multiple customer locations in South Carolina, Michigan, and Georgia.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for quality and supply-related concerns for assigned customer manufacturing facilities.
Facilitate on-site launch support at customer-assigned facilities to ensure flawless launches.
Review customers' production processes, quality systems, program life cycle, and volumes for all MKC programs at assigned customer facilities.
Facilitate open communication and flow of information between customer manufacturing facilities and MKC.
Establish contact schedule with frequency that meets customer expectations for point-in-time support for all assigned customer production facilities.
Review and resolve quality, scheduling, and planning (purchasing and engineering if located in the plant).
Provide written reports to MKC appropriate personnel.
Provide support to Sales and Engineering when required to keep projects and potential new business on-track.
Ability to support assigned customers by disseminating customer expectations and seeking appropriate resolution.
Required Skills and Abilities
Basic understanding of all production processes, quality systems, program life cycle, and volumes for all MKC programs at assigned customer facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY
The General Production role will perform secondary/value added operations on aluminum castings, such as: trim, inspect, deburr, pack and/or machine casting in a synchronous manufacturing environment. Cross training in all operations while meeting production, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate trim press, sand, drill, file and/or knife castings as required (Die Cast) or Operate CNC's, multiple station machine centers, drill press etc. (Machining)
Perform quality checks and document (where applicable). Which include using simple gages, precision measuring devices and visual inspection.
Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment), including an understanding of the Lock-Out Tag Out procedure.
Manually handle parts from work-in-process containers to shipping containers. Move containers as required using pallet jacks, walkie etc.
Pack parts properly per operator instructions and apply proper labeling to meet customer requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate records (route sheets and count sheets).
Read and follow operator and set up. Advise supervisor when updates or corrections need to be done to operator and set up instruction books.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Perform and document total preventive maintenance (TPM) operations as required - lubricate, change filters, clean, check fluid levels, etc.
Participate as a Trainer when necessary.
Other duties as designated.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position is in a heavy production environment with high levels of noise and heat. Exposure to moving machine components while troubleshooting die cast machines or secondary operations. Working hours are minimum of 40 hours per week with some overtime during the week and weekends may be expected. Typical shifts are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm; 3:00pm - 11:00 pm or Sunday Night 11:00 pm - Friday 7:00am.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical exertion required with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Prolonged periods working on your feet wearing steel-toed shoes, using tools, performing repetitive tasks that entail frequent bending, lifting, reaching and twisting. Must have visual acuity for quality inspection of parts.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, or equivalent preferred. Basic reading and math skills required.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires daily preparation of all shipments out of this facility and the ability to access customers websites, transmit ASN'S, create all necessary paperwork, create and understand daily shipping reports, communication with carriers and work closely with the Production Control Department.

Operation of fork trucks and hand trucks in moving products and materials.
Operation of banding and wrapping equipment in preparing products for shipment.
Operation of bar code printing equipment in preparing labels for product shipments.
Completion and application of Finished Good Inventory tags.
Operation of shipping scale in weight counting bulk pack products.
Pulling product orders from Finished Goods storage and staging them for shipment.
Loading and unloading materials from transport carriers.
Creating and maintaining Bills of Ladings.
Entering all Finished Goods inventory accurately into the ERP system.
Must be able to keep all Finished Goods inventory paperwork filed properly.
Must be able to assist in quarterly Physical Inventories.
Must be able to identify damaged shipments and make documentation of damage.
Maintain and replenish inventory of packaging used on production floor.
Unload metal trucks, inventory shipment and distribute paperwork to necessary departments.
Works closely with the Managers in assisting in the daily operations of that facility.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Dock conditions are very warm and humid in the summer months and very cold in the winter months. Operation of the fork truck in outdoor conditions is sometimes required. Continuous movement of material across the dock area results in hectic, cluttered conditions. Operation of the fork truck in high traffic pedestrian areas requires extreme
caution and attention to detail.

We are adding a Die (mold) Repair Technician on 2nd / 3rd shifts at our Madison location.
POSITION SUMMARY
Troubleshoot die cast dies that are not functioning as designed. Make minor corrections to dies that are not making a part to print (replacing a core, date codes or ejector pins, etc.). Disassemble and assemble casting dies performing routine and preventative scheduled maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assemble casting dies.
Troubleshoot dies that are not working.
Make repairs to a die while it is on a die-cast machine.
Create maintenance work requisitions for repairs to die maintenance equipment, die-related issues such as hydraulic cylinder fixes, electrical work, etc.
Reading prints (Product drawings, Die-Cast and Trim Die prints) and use measuring equipment (Micrometer, Depth Micrometer, Dial Indicators, Calipers, etc.).
Use AutoVue to view designs.
Setting limit switches and final fitting slide(s) and slide locks.
Operate ejector pin grinder, hydraulic cavity extraction equipment, and hydraulic power unit used for final inspection of hydraulic cylinder setups.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Plant conditions, smoke, heat fumes, noise, risk of cuts, bruises, burns and crushing injuries.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical exertion is required with occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in die-cast or equivalent trade.
Knowledgeable of die casting and how a casting die operates.
Must be able to obtain MKC forklift and crane certification.
Other key characteristics: Mechanically inclined, self-motivated, good communication skills, and a team player.
