**Description:**

The main functions of a Mail Courier include the distribution and delivery of time-sensitive material to Publix offices, warehouses, and store locations, while maneuvering vehicles (cargo vans/box trucks) in limited space.

A Mail Courier typically...

+ safely and efficiently operating all warehousing equipment including box trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, etc.,

+ processing confidential and time-sensitive material/mail to various locations inside and outside of Publix,

+ analyzing and researching the destination for any unknown or unmarked mail,

+ unloading semi-trailers containing pallets of material for stores and pallets of copy paper weighing up to 2,000 pounds,

+ loading, unloading, picking up, and delivering pallets of boxes and materials throughout the Lakeland Publix complexes and occasionally to other Publix warehouses and other company locations,

+ keeping work area and equipment neat and clean,

+ participating in process improvement projects and departmental safety efforts and

**Year End Bonus:**

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
