What you will have an opportunity to do:
We are looking for a experienced Maintenance person, who is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team at a Maintenance Engineer! This individual performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, Painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Your role:
Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures and motors.Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains and sanitary systems.Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and window, carpeting, etc.Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintains logs on completed tasks. Prepares reports as requested by supervisors. Submits all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.

The Engineering & Manufacturing Technician III provides high level maintenance and repair services to automated and semi-automated production systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

* Provides troubleshooting, repair and maintenance services for production related systems and components including linear motion, high vacuum, process water cooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, remote handling and PLC/HMI interfaces.
* Provides cross functional support to manufacturing processes in a JIT environment including the performance of operations coverage.
* Provides direct and indirect utilities maintenance/repair support of utilities systems including cooling water systems, and compressed air.
* Fabricates and/or modifies mechanical / electrical components, as required, in support of maintenance activities.
* Participates in and or leads in fault-finding and route-cause analysis investigations as a subject matter expert. Effectively communicates findings to appropriate levels of the organization.
* Provides direct process monitoring with the focus on improving reliability using tools such as data collection analysis and SPC to identify trends and potential problems.
* Provides support in scheduling and execution of capital projects. Directly manages small scale internal projects through design, testing, implementation and close-out.
* Organizes and leads volunteers and/or maintenance teams during performance of repairs or maintenance related activities.
* Serves as a mentor to other group members ensuring continuous skill development.
* Supports daily work assignment process including routine and PM work scheduling.
* Proactively monitors system performance through application of process performance tools (PC, SIC, Metrics etc.), Identifies opportunities for improvement in reliability, repeatability and efficiency. Effectively communicates and applies improvements with full compliance to OSHA, cGMP, FDA and NRC regulations utilizing standard practices/ procedures for documenting changes and testing.
* Actively applies and promotes safety rules and awareness. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards.
* Actively demonstrates the Lantheus values of accountability, quality, efficiency, customer service, collaboration and safety.

Job Requirements

* Ability to troubleshoot mechanical / electrical processes at system and component levels.
* Ability to operate a wide variety of test equipment, power and hand tools for the mechanical/electrical diagnosis, repair and/or fabrication of systems and components.
* Ability to perform complex alignment and/or integration between parallel and cascading production processes to ensure precise material or product flow.
* Ability to read, modify and create electrical schematics and mechanical drawings using standard industry software applications.
* Prior experience using a CMMS system as a work tracking and maintenance documentation system.
* Previous experience with PLC's, HMI's and Control Systems with the ability to apply as a troubleshooting/diagnostics tool. Prior experience with systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon and Wonderware a plus.
* Possesses strong oral and written skills in developing and documenting repair, testing, maintenance and provisional process documentation related to manufacturing maintenance.
* AS in a mechanical technologies related program or technical school/military education with a mechanical focus and 3 years industrial experience or > 5 years industrial production maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to react to short notice changes in production schedules or off-shift emergency repairs as required.
* Possesses ability to work in challenging environments including confined spaces, radiological areas, and elevated heights and in varying weather and temperature conditions.
* Proven performance record in a mechanical maintenance support role in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Possesses excellent task planning, organizational and assignment management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and understanding of group dynamics.
* Working knowledge of cGMPs, OSHA and industry safety policies and radiation safety techniques.
* Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite to analyze data and write technical reports.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineering Technician (MET) position may include the following:
+ Comply with all safety regulations

+ Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement)

+ Troubleshooting Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial Equipment

+ Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians

+ Perform Maintenance on Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatic and Electrical Equipment

+ Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)

+ Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and systems

+ Use computer-based software to enter, track and analyze work activities and maintenance trends

+ Read and use blueprints, schematics, manuals, technical drawings, work orders, test results, machine error messages.

+ Test fixed machinery

+ Clean and lubricate parts

Teammates are required to work on a continuous operations schedule consisting of 12 hour shifts. The work weeks runs Sunday through Saturday. Applicants must be able to work either day shift or night shift. Day shift is from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Night shift is from 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. Teammates must be able to work a shift schedule with 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next week.

3+ years of industrial maintenance in multi-craft environment OR

3+ years high tech maintenance related military experience OR

Completed apprenticeship program & 2 year industrial maintenance experience OR

Associates Degree in Electronics, General Technology, Robotics, or related field and 2+ years industrial maintenance experience

Candidate must also possess general computer skills, PLC experience, & presentation skills

The Maintenance Engineering Technician position at the Des Moines, Iowa plant is a multi-craft position that requires a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic (PLC). This position provides emergency and routine maintenance support to the operations departments in an industrial/automated environment. Hourly rate of pay is $40.58 / hour. - Eligible for Sign On Bonus of $7,500 - paid 50% at hire and 50% at one year. - Eligible for $1.00 Night Shift Premium once assigned to a 12-hour night shift - Eligible for additional $0.50 for Certified Welding Wage Progression - Overtime opportunities - Eligible for medical, prescription, dental, & vision coverage on date of hire Qualified candidates will be required to pass a written technical skill assessment and undergo a one-on-one technical interview
