*POSITION* : Finishing Helper

_Job Description: _

A Finishing Helper

Finishing Helpers work either in the label die-cut area or on the label cutting line:

On the cutting line, Finishing Helpers assist the paper cutter who is cutting large skids of paper labels into stacks of 1,000 or 500 for further processing. As the cutter pushes the cut labels down the cutting table, the Finishing Helper takes them and processes them (paper banding or placed in small boxes) into boxes on pallets for shipping or places them in bins for further processing in die cut.

In the die-cut area Finishing Helpers work in groups of two to three people. Helpers will feed packs of 1,000 or 500 labels into a machine that cuts the square pack of labels into a variety of shapes. As the labels come down the chute after cutting, helpers take the stacks of labels and paper band them (with a paper banding machine). These stacks of labels are then placed on a conveyor for sealing. Helpers then place the sealed products into boxes on pallets to go to the Shipping Department.

In addition to above, Finishing Helpers use electric pallet jacks to move pallets and occasionally lift boxes (average weight 35 lbs. but occasionally up to 50 lbs.) onto pallets
