The Huntsville Boeing Research and Technology (BR&T) team is looking for a **BR&T** **Parts, Materials, and Processes Manager** to lead the Parts, Material, and Processes (PM&P) team in **Huntsville, Alabama.**
This position will be responsible for executing the PM&P statement of work (SOW) across the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense and Integrated Air and Missile Defense programs. The manager will need to partner with external government customers in order to lead joint Boeing/Government parts control boards and integrated product teams (IPTs).
A successful candidate would have general knowledge of microelectronics and component engineering technology and applications, as well as knowledge of applications of electronic materials and processes.
Additionally, this position is also responsible for oversight of Materials and Process (M&P) engineering team supporting the manufacturing and factory operations in the Huntsville Electronics Center of Excellent (ExCoE). The ExCoE manufactures various mission critical assemblies and circuit card assemblies for 19 different programs across Boeing. The PM&P/M&P team supporting the ExCoE is responsible for the safe and successful maintenance of the various factory processes and controls, non-conformance resolutions, material validations, and process documentation control.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Leads multiple PM&P/MP&P teams as they execute similar SOW's within the Missile and Weapon Systems and Space and Launch Divisions
+ Leads PM&P team supporting manufacturing and factory operations across different programs
+ Partners with cross functional organizations and stakeholders
+ Oversees implementation of program PM&P control plans
+ Acts as point of contact for government customers to drive compliance to program PM&P requirements
+ Openly communicates and collaborates across engineering and non-engineering functions
+ Motivates team to investigate team processes for efficiencies
+ Manages budgets and contracts for contract and purchase service support
+ Performs skills retention and mentoring of all team members
+ Ensures staffing and correct skill mix across multiple programs
+ Engages and promotes professional development and motivation of team members including conducting performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, employee recognition, and training
**This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed option.** On-site work will be a minimum of 3 days per week.
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
+ Experience working with internal and external customers
+ 2+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team
+ 5+ years of experience in working on aerospace programs
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Active U.S. Secret Clearance
+ Experience with program Parts, Materials and Processes control plans
