The RoleLead the supply chain readiness program for the Accessories commodity Partner with stakeholders from Accessories Product Management, Retail Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Planning, etc.Track milestones, upcoming changes and own communication for stakeholders Collaborate with Supply Chain's functions to ensure a healthy supply plan and allocation strategy Identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities for new products Coordinate serviceability validation for introduction of new products into our supply chain lifecycle Evaluating product ROI and continuous improvement

About the role: Boston Scientific is seeking a Principal Material Program Manager (MPM) to serve as the central facilitator between Global Sourcing and New Product Development (NPD) program teams. The Principal MPM partners with category teams and cross functional engineering teams to procure/develop materials, drive risk mitigation efforts, and drive component production readiness for new and next generation products.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities across multiple functions, communicate to multiple levels, and form relationships/trust quickly
* Facilitate efforts between project teams and category teams to drive component production readiness, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability
* Drive supplier management project execution by communicating tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing/executing contingency plans
* Influence cross functional engineering teams to reach best results through technical and business knowledge base, provide direct technical support when appropriate
* Identify/Understand risk levels and take appropriate action to avoid project impact
* Estimate supplier engineering resource and material cost requirements
* Communicate/Resolve project issues by working with category team members, project customers, and others as appropriate
* Lead process improvement and efficiency opportunities for MPM team to best support Product Life Cycle Process, mentor less experienced team members to process and best practices
* Understand and interpret Material Control procedures for NPD applications
* Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy
* Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System

Required qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree is required
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management

Preferred qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device industry experience preferable
* Excellent leadership attributes, written/verbal communications, and facilitator/customer service skills

**Description**

CTB projections govern what the Supply-Demand Managers (SDM) can commit to customers and are a key input to revenue projections provided to our C-level executives. • Partner with the CM to develop a model that incorporates the specific supply chain and materials flow details to project availability in support of our supply/demand goals. • Create allocation strategies for constrained materials by developing models across factories, programs, and lines of business. Provide allocation direction to Global Supply Managers and Apple Suppliers. • Challenge and influence Demand Planning and Strategic Sourcing teams to improve allocation and maximize revenue. • Identify E & O and other material risk, recommend critical course of action to leadership, and own the efforts to mitigate liability to the business. • Develop strategic roadmap for the phase‐out of obsolete parts and new product materials. • Prepare and communicate critical Materials updates at weekly Sustaining Executive Program reviews; maintain executive reports and summaries, providing accurate and timely data to leadership on a weekly basis. • Through a deep understanding of our commodity terms, ensure the logistical flow of materials necessary to meet production schedules, inventory control requirements, and ongoing material line support.
