Why Should you Apply at MEC? * Competitive Wages * Quarterly Bonuses * State of the art equipment/machines * 401K Match * On Site Health Center * Benefits starting after only 30 days * Continuous Learning Opportunities Responsibilities What you will be doing as a PRODUCTION PLANNER: * As Production Planner at MEC, you will support production in the areas of sales order management, forecast management, customer interface and work order maintenance. * Planning, Scheduling, and coordinating production to meet the customer demand outlined in MRP using planning parameters. * Review and update planning parameters in alignment with changes of demand, utilizing capacity, while accommodating inventory goals. * Revises schedules and issues work orders to suit order changes, cancellations and/or revised forecasts. * Determines revised plan in the event of failures to meet schedules. * Notifies customer service in the event of failures in meeting shipping schedules. * Researches late parts, identifies and brings bottlenecks to manufacturing's attention. * Works closely with engineering and customer service to implement engineering changes and monitors structure (bill of material) problems. * Works closely with Master Scheduling to ensure all master plans are maintained and executed. * Expedites, as needed, any late deliveries from outside vendors, sub-contract, etc. * Analyzes production data to find ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize costs Qualifications What it takes to be a PRODUCTION PLANNER AT MEC: Associate/Bachelor's Degree in related field, one to three years planning experience, APICS Certification and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description: The EMLK Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the machine to perform punching/laser operations for a variety of customer's needs. Operators are expected to manufacture quality parts and have the knowledge to check their work. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each skill satisfactorily. The Commodity Manager will develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies, to obtain optimal value for the enterprise, while building strong supplier relationships. We're looking for: * Commodity Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement sound commodity strategies that will bring optimal value to the enterprise. Bring your deep commodity knowledge and market intel on board to ensure best-in-class supply chain management of MEC's critical raw materials and components. * Negotiation: Apply firm but fair negotiation practices utilizing an organized data-driven approach for optimal results that drive the lowest total landed cost, on-time delivery, all while meeting or exceeding MEC quality standards. * Total Cost Management: Attain Lean, Continuous Improvement, and cost reduction goals through detailed cost/spend analysis, cost model development and implementation, supplier Kaizen events, or through the use of various other cost management tools. * Optimize Commodity Execution: Reduce complexity and redundancy by identifying materials as candidates for potential SKU count reduction, identify and execute supply base optimization opportunities, and develop and implement a robust process to ensure continuity with the internal sales team. * Cross-Functional Commodity Councils: Lead and coordinate activities across all sites to identify and qualify suppliers capable of providing products and services to meet business requirements, ensuring productivity, continuous improvement and negotiated lowest total cost of ownership. * Commodity Subject Matter Expertise: Lead and participate in team collaboration where Commodity expertise is required. Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Stretcher Use controls to manually or automatically load and unload materials. Start and set up stretcher for two-person operation. Use metrology tools to perform quality checks, must understand profile print, and expectation of cosmetic allowable defect charts. Verify recipe for accuracy and make modifications as required. Saw Safely operate the Saw and change saw blades. Perform control chart completion per procedures and identify samples as needed for vision/quality checks. Safely move baskets, sequencing baskets in preparation for aging oven in both manual and automatic mode. Troubleshoot equipment and scrap shear. Mark the front ends and end of orders, samples, and splits with the proper coding. Press Understand different type of alloys and temperature, quenching, stretching, and aging practices required to reach desired mechanical properties. Understand cross section and die characteristics to maintain tolerance Safely and effectively use failure tool to remove billets from container. DMS Perform daily TPM's as assigned - such as dummy block rotation; fill up lubrication systems, checking pit levels, checking, and replacing filters, checking probe function, conducting press alignment checks, etc. Report any downtime, troubleshoot errors, and communicate potential causes to team leader, plant services and/or engineering. Lead, train, rotate, assist as needed with other Profile Manufacturers between running press, finish saw and floating to maintain production, quality, or safety. Ensure accurate production data recording - billets run (alloy, cast number, length, count), SPC checks, samples, good pieces racked, pieces scrapped, and reasons are being enter into Computer System.
