Pay Range: $18-$25/hr depending on experience

Assembly

* Install a variety of electrical and process equipment and component devices such as: cable trays, brackets, pipe hangers, assembly mounts for HVAC units, pumps, stainless steel tubing, as well pipe stands and instrumentation.

* Measure, cut and bend buss bar for specific projects

* Insulate buildings and hang doors, install siding.

* Assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.

* Follow quality process in checking procedures and equipment to verify mechanical integrity of units

* Position, align, and adjust pipe spools and other process assemblies including mounting and aligning pumps as well as installing tubing runs.

* Perform installations compliant with current regulations and customer specifications

* Responsible for assigned project completion, quality and delivery according to work schedule



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* High School Diploma plus one year experience working as a skilled laborer in heavy

industrial manufacturing operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Ability to read and understand basic wiring schematics and layout diagrams as well as pipe assembly diagrams.

* Experience with various hand tools.

* Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.

* Confident with the ability to work closely with other technicians and management while keeping production flowing and meeting due dates

* Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality results in mechanical assemblies, siding of buildings, installing cable trays and components, process pipe and pump mounting and alignment, and continual attention to quality and detail in the final assembly stage of production.

* Must be detail oriented and committed to producing quality work

Education/Experience:

Language Ability:

Ability to read, interpret, understand prints and basic electrical schematics/ drawings and specification charts. Must be able to read, and understand Travelers, production schedules and quality specifications. Must be able to write NCR's and comply with safety rules. Must be able to establish productive and effective communication ties and relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and staff.

Math Ability:

Ability to compute basic math - buss bar, siding measurements, etc. Must be able to accurately follow schematics. Ability to understand and know company operation costs and production costs and production overrun costs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to analyze and understand project plan documents and prints and successfully resolve practical problems and they may occur. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Must be able to use computer to log in time and job hours.

Safety:

Must comply with and follow all IE safety programs, policies and procedures. Must operate and perform job duties in a safe manner. Must be able to operate/work safely around machinery/moving equipment.

AMF Bakery Systems is looking for a motivated and self-driven Mechanical Assembly Technician (MAT). MATs are responsible for the mechanical assembly of AMF machinery, assemblies, and equipment. MATs must be able to work with or without the aid of drawings and/or schematics. Fabrication and occasional rework of parts (cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, welding, etc.) will be required to complete assemblies.
