**JOB SUMMARY:**

To provide assistance throughout the plant as needed by performing simple machine operation and miscellaneous other production and shipping tasks.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ May operate machines and/or perform simple to moderately complicated production tasks in the manufacture of any product produced. Set up and run machines that include dry sanding, wet sanding, grinding and deburring. Prepare and load parts as instructed

+ Perform a variety of production tasks and assist as required. Perform repetitive manual and automated finishing operations.

+ Utilize visual inspections and measuring instruments to ensure parts are produced according to specifications and within tolerance levels. May perform hand deburring and grinding operations on fabricated products.

+ Verify parts match the print. Perform measurements as appropriate using calipers to ensure parts have been produced according to specifications and within tolerance levels. Perform clean and pack activities as directed.

+ All other duties assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**

+ Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and work instructions

+ Adaptable to change - able to move to different job tasks as needed

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:**

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.

**Working Conditions/Physical Abilities:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection is required.
