* U.S. citizenship is required. U.S. citizens are legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and are entitled to all rights and protections under U.S. law.
* Possess a current valid driver's license. Must be REAL ID compliant.

* Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory. You will be ineligible to occupy this position if at any time you have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, unless you received a pardon, or your conviction was expunged or set aside.
* Candidates are required to complete an intensive 13-week training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by specialized 18-week training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Failure to pass the training program may result in separation from the Secret Service.
* Sign a mobility agreement stating your willingness to accept assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas.
* Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
* Must have uncorrected vision of at least 20/100, correctable to 20/20 in each eye. LASIK, ALK, RK, and PRK surgeries are acceptable if required post-surgery visual tests are passed: Lasik (3 months), PRK (6 months), ALK/RK (1 year) waiting periods apply.
* Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500,1000 and 2000Hz ranges.
Qualifications
As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. You are minimally qualified for the GL-09 Level (starting base salary $54,485) if you possess one of the following:
* A master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as LL.B. or J.D.) or two full years of progressively higher graduate education, in a related field, leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university; OR
* Have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-7 level such as experience applying law enforcement, protective, or investigative techniques in the performance of job duties; identifying problem areas and proposing and implementing solutions; taking responsibility for own actions and those of team members to ensure the goals and deadlines for the team are met; and leading meetings or seminars on behalf of a professional or academic group; setting work priorities and allocating resources; partnering with other individuals from within and outside the organization; OR

* Have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-9 level such as experience in, or related to planning and conducting complex criminal investigations to determine violations of Federal laws and regulations; collecting and assembling facts to identify logical conclusion; gathering, analyzing, and evaluating evidence or data; conducting interviews and interrogations; making arrests; conducting searches and seizures; taking responsibility for own actions and those of team members to ensure the goals and deadlines for the team are met; partnering with or leveraging networks or relationships from outside the organization, experience managing complex projects including setting priorities and determining resource requirements; OR
* A combination of specialized experience, as described above, and related graduate level education beyond two full years of graduate level study.

As part of the application process the applicant will be required to complete the United States Secret Service Applicant Physical Abilities Test (APAT). It is a physical fitness assessment which consists of four components (push-ups, sit-ups, Illinois Agility Run and a 1.5 Mile Run). The APAT is designed to measure the current level of general physical fitness of an applicant, which serves as an indicator of an applicant's ability to safely complete a vigorous physical training program. It evaluates the applicant's ability to perform the physical tasks required on the job by measuring muscular and dynamic strength, endurance, flexibility, aerobic capacity and other factors related to physical aptitude. General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily.
Additional information
* Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).
Applicants selected for this position will be required to sign a CSA before being assigned to an initial training class. The CSA will commit the applicant to a specified period of employment with the Secret Service upon the successful completion of training.
Applicants will be required to travel to all phases of the hiring process at their own expense. If a final job offer is extended, relocation expenses will not be authorized for first duty location.
The Secret Service prohibits employees from having visible body markings (including but not limited to tattoos, body art and branding) on the head, face, neck, hand and fingers (any area below the wrist bone) (exception a single conservative and unobtrusive tattoo in the form of a ring is authorized on one finger).

Job Summary
Responsible for patrolling lakes and rivers and the enforcement of marine laws, investigation of boating
accidents, search and rescue, and boater safety instruction and certification.

Responsibilities and Duties
Completes maintenance on department-owned patrol boats.
Performs proactive patrols lakes and rivers. This includes safety checks of all vessels on the water for required safety equipment, verification of boat registrations, verification of boater safety certifications, compliance with all state marine laws and local watercraft control ordinances, enforcement of marine law violations.
Prepares reports and required marine documents.
Interviews subjects who are either cooperative or uncooperative to obtain information needed for the investigation.
Safely operates assigned motor vehicles and marine patrol vessels.
Conducts annual Boater Safety Certification classes.
Annually inspects and documents complete inspections of all operating boat liveries to ensure they are in compliance with all state & local laws.
Conduct search and rescue operations.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
40 hours of law enforcement training with emphasis toward Marine laws.
Certification/License:
Firearms certification, CPR, first aid, blood borne pathogens, LEIN certification, boater safety certification. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license.

This position is charged with providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide proactive campus patrols following the department's community policing model.

Accepts Uniform Commercial code fixture filings, continuations, amendments, assignments, and terminations. Reviews UCC records for recording requirements such as name of debtor, address, signatures, and collateral. Extracts index information and enters it into the computer following format display on screen. Records time, date, file number, party names, and enters a brief description of the filing.
Plot property ownership boundaries as needed to assist the public and agencies with various mapping requests.
Processes passport applications which include evaluating identity documents, governmental certificates, photographs, and completed applications. Follows protocol for transmitting completed applications and supportive documents to the US Department of State. Ensures the correct fees are collected and sent with the application.

Medium security sites include: Fox Lake Correctional Institution, Jackson Correctional Institution, Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility, New Lisbon Correctional Institution, Oshkosh Correctional Institution, Racine Correctional Institution, Racine Youthful Offender Correctional Facility, Redgranite Correctional Institution, and Stanley Correctional Institution.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past five (5) years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1,500 on the first paycheck and $1,500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually one (1) year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying). To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in the occupational area for one (1) year. If the candidate leaves prior to completing the one (1) year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections will conduct pre-employment drug screening for this role. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
A medical/drug/fitness screening is required.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
As public safety employees, remote work is not an option for this position.
This position has physical requirements, including, but not limited to: walking, twisting, climbing, standing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs., etc. This position is also exposed to a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.
Upon hire, candidates will complete a paid six-week training program which includes on-the-job training at a Correctional Institution. The training time will be split between the Corrections Training Center (CTC) in Madison (or at a local training site, if applicable) and the candidate's assigned institution. Training will focus on report writing, human/public relations, supervision of persons in our care, communication skills, and standards of conduct.
Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with no felony convictions without a pardon and no domestic violence convictions.
Correctional Officers will be required to meet firearm standards within first year of employment.
Applicants must have the ability to work up to 16 hours per day and more than 40 hours per week on any shift based on daily operational needs. This may include weekends and holidays.
Applicants will be assessed on relevant education, training, and experience, including the following:
Managing safety and security, including investigating and emergency response
Problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution
Providing information and counseling individuals
Written and oral communication, including documenting and recording information using software
A screening questionnaire will determine if candidates are minimally qualified to continue in the selection process.
