Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified **Industrial Mechanical Repairperson** . This position will reside at our modern slag grinding facility in **Cape Canaveral, FL** .
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, be a good team player and be results-oriented. The chosen candidate will be challenged working within a team to repair and maintain heavy industrial equipment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
+ Fundamental mechanical knowledge of industrial conveyors, gearboxes, motors, material bucket elevators, fans, airslides, reverse jet dust collectors, flow control valves, etc.
+ Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and the ability to read engineering drawings
+ Inspect equipment for proper functional use and perform preventive and predictive maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications and Company maintenance programs
+ Able to diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs and/or propose repairs or adjustments as needed
+ Upgrade areas with new equipment/technology
+ Proficiently work with outside contractors on special projects
+ Have a willingness to operate individually or within the constraints of a team-environment; share knowledge and experience, training others for growth opportunities
+ Knowledgeable in organization and ordering of parts
+ Prefer experience operating mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, front end loader, lull, etc.)
+ Must be able to perform frequent lifting, standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, and grasping
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
+ Background involving mechanical troubleshooting and repair
+ Must have knowledge of mechanical moving parts (e.g., chains, bearings, fans, screw conveyors, rollers, pumps, etc.)
+ Regular hours are 7a - 3p Mon - Fri; must be able to work hours necessary to meet production demands which, at times, include nights and weekends
+ Computer literate
