Identifies intradialytic comorbidities and monitors patient and equipment alarms during treatment. **What you will do** + Understands water room equipment operation and function; completes testing and follows up appropriately on abnormal results and completes required documentation. + Completes dialysis treatments, initiation and discontinuation from internal accesses, monitoring of vascular access function and appropriately reports signs of stenosis, occlusion or infection to RN. + Assembles and prepares necessary treatment supplies, rinses and primes dialyzer and attaches and installs all required tubing according to unit procedure. Test and set parameters according to dialysis prescription. + Monitors equipment for safe and proper functioning, respond to alarms, and make appropriate adjustments; including blood flow rates and fluid removal rates + Completes accurate documentation of dialysis access and patient treatment. + Observes patient during treatments, notifies RN of any adverse reactions.
