Candace Bowers is a Bay Area native and has worked for the City of Mountain View since 1990, first as a bookmobile driver and then as a librarian in Adult services.
1991 – Moffett Naval Air Station closes. $44.5 million City Civic Center and Center of Performing Arts is completed.
1994 – Yahoo! Is Founded.
1995 -Netscape is founded in offices inside the HP Campus: 466 Ellis Street, Mountain View
1997 – New public library located on Franklin Street opens.
MVEA started offering green power in 2000 at the cost of $2.50 per 100 kWh block.
In 2004, the Town will become one of three "anchors" for the Wichita Mountains Scenic Byway, a route that will help create additional tourism-related demands for the goods and services in the Mountain View economy.
In 2020, after twelve years working as an urban designer for the San Francisco Planning Department, Nick joined the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority where he is managing the creation of a master plan for conserved lands in Coyote Valley.
