Press operators run and operate a large press that creates the chassis body parts based on customer specifications. This position includes running copious computer systems to operate the machine and using the crane to load the machine. Duties and Responsibilities * Use of crane • Large use of technology such as SAP • Mechanically inclined decision making • Working off-shift • On feet for extended amount of time Qualifications * Ability to read, write and understand job documentation • Physical coordination to lift and move product • Trainable with fork lift truck • Ability to handle multiple tasks • Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail • Math ability, including conversions (English & Metric units) • Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices • Ability to understand machine computer functions including ARKU & PLC • Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders • Knowledge of correct way to handle coils and load/feed material into Transfer Press • Ability to operate crane and move 30 ton dies • Knowledge and ability to do correct Die Set and Operation of Large Bolsters or Table and set up of Transfer Arms • Ability to set programs for Speed Feeder and Speed Starker What We Offer In addition to forward-looking perspectives in our growing family company worldwide, Mubea provides the opportunity for continuous development, actively supporting your ideas and goals. May include, but not limited to productivity, total productive maintenance (TPM), downtime, scrap and change over initiatives. Leads 5S efforts, including planning, implementing and supporting plant floor and maintenance activities. Perform cycle time studies to create and validate production standards including standardized work. Process layout and material flow. Identify and implement cost and waste reduction activities. Recommend improvement to the manufacturing process. Assist quality lab in serial monitoring, failure analysis and support of quality related investigations. Qualifications Must be located near Florence, KY Must be a currently enrolled, degree seeking student from an accredited engineering program majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related discipline. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills required. Working knowledge of computer application software such as MS Office, MS Access, Minitab, AutoCAD, SAP (training will be provided if needed). Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment. Must be able to work overtime when required. Must be organized and work well with constantly priority changes. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
