As the Multimedia Graphic Designer at United Way you design and support strategically sound, breakthrough creative experiences for many different audiences through a variety of platforms including print, web and social.

You work on every stage of a project, from conception to completion, start the work understanding the available insights and creative brief, you brainstorm concepts with the Marketing team, work closely with the assigned team to create drafts, present materials to internal stakeholders for approval and work with vendors throughout the process.

Responsibilities
Maintain the consistency of the United Way brand across all channels Create digital designs for web pages, emails, social media, online advertising, brand designs for UI-UX and more. Create motion design experiences to improve the effectiveness of our content for all media Assist with project management & maintenance of the project managing software Create engaging print designs for brochures, fliers, invitations, direct mail and more Enhance key web content by developing Flash, Java and other rich components Collaborate with writers and other designers to make sure that text and design work together effectively Brainstorm with Marketing colleagues and other coworkers about the best solutions to particular communications opportunities Present design solutions to teammates and internal stakeholders in an effective manner Prepare digital files for print and provide clear instructions to vendors to make sure they are printed correctly. Must be extremely detail-oriented with the double-checking of work. Work with vendors to create accurate, competitive quotes that help internal stakeholders develop reasonable budgets and timelines Photo editing, photo manipulation, cropping and color correction
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ATTRIBUTES
Experience designing and producing e-communications Capacity to create animations in Premier or After Effects Strong working knowledge of writing and troubleshooting within HTML, CSS and JavaScript Understanding of user interface design Experience navigating CRM platforms like HubSpot to design graphics for email layouts Four-color print design background with experience in preparing digital files for print Must be proficient in OS X platforms with extensive experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Experience working with vendors to get quotes/bids and negotiating reduced rates Demonstrated excellence working as part of a team, including clear communication in person and by email Willingness to listen to feedback from others and find the best ways to incorporate their input Excellent client service skills Flexibility to deal with unanticipated projects that have tight turnaround times by adjusting schedules for other projects and clearly communicating those changes to teammates Strong Problem solving ability including metrics-driven thinking
