To teach general music in an elementary school position.

Major Responsibilities:

* Teach a sequential music curriculum as established by the Texas Education Agency in conjunction with the local district board policies and administrative regulations.
* Apply and enforce student discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Student Handbook.
* Coordinate all activities within the school pertaining to the elementary music program.
* Maintain an awareness of current instructional techniques, teaching strategies, district initiatives, music techniques and skills, and TEA requirements and recommendations.
* Attend required staff trainings and evidences a desire for continuous growth in the field of elementary music education.
* Work closely with other elementary/middle school music teachers and comprehensive classroom teachers to improve educational offerings to students.

* Coordinate with the Director of Elementary Music with the music programs and projects throughout the district.
* Participate in local and state music organizations.

This position will provide individual and family focused therapy to children and adolescents with mental health conditions in a school-based, home, and community settings. The candidate should be familiar with trauma-informed care, as well as have familiarity with diagnoses including: Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. This is a great opportunity to develop long-term relationships with clients and see the results of your work.

Essential Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
Conduct thorough psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, including diagnoses, treatment planning and linkage, as needed to appropriate internal and external services, for referrals at assigned school(s)
Develop client focused treatment plans and monitor for progress
Provide therapy and other behavioral health services to at risk children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses
Complete daily progress notes and other Medicaid documentation within proper timeframes
Develop effective relationships to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Partner with both internal and external treatment providers in implementing and evaluating the treatment plan
Education and Licensure:
Bachelor's Degree or higher
LSW, LPC, MFT or similar
Qualifications:
Desire to work with at-risk youth and families
Skilled in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, and must have established internet access
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must have a valid OH driver's license with no more than 5 points
Must value diversity and inclusion
Clinical Competencies:
Supportive of collaborative partnerships with assigned school(s) through consultation.
The ability to engage clients and their families in meaningful intervention strategies, approaches and models, including but not limited to trauma-informed care.
The ability to assess clinical safety (e.g. SAFE-T Protocol with C-SSRS; HB71, safety plans, etc.) and to execute safety planning to lower risk.
