We are seeking a self-motivated Mobile Collection Specialist to join our Field Operations team in Marion County, Indiana. The ideal candidate will be located in Indianapolis with the ability to travel within a 45-mile radius. In this role, you will be performing home-based collections for individuals required to complete drug screens as part of their involvement with the Indiana Department of Child Services. Our Mobile Collection Specialists receive their daily travel routes each morning and are responsible for collecting urine, oral fluid (saliva) or hair specimens in accordance with contractual requirements. Shift: Monday-Friday 11am-7pm Pay Range: $16 - $18 * Additional benefits for Mobile Collections Specialists include mileage reimbursement, $50 monthly cell phone reimbursement, and an incentive bonus of $100 for emergency collection requests fulfilled outside of IN DCS business hours. Primary Responsibilities Travel to participant's home, work, or local DCS office to collect urine, oral, and/or hair specimens Log, order, process and assemble samples for shipping to laboratory File requisitions, chain of custody forms, and associated paperwork Courier specimens to drop off location and/or lab Keep detailed record of client and patient interactions Travel to third party collection sites to perform site inspections, as needed Provide support to the Program Manager and Regional Lead ensuring that third party collection sites meet Cordant's standards for the Indiana Department of Child Safety program. Under the supervision of a Laboratory Manager, the Extraction Technician will be responsible for preparing samples for analysis on confirmation instrument technology. This includes sample handling of urine and oral fluid specimens from sample preparation to extraction of various analytes from biological specimens, and strict adherence to chain of custody documentation. We are seeking a self-motivated Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Operations team. In this role you will be preparing batches of samples by receiving and sorting the urine and oral fluid specimens at your assigned work station. The Lab Technician is responsible for reading and scanning the chain of custody forms, ordering applicable tests in the system and applying barcoded labels ensuring samples are ready for the testing process. Shift: M-F 8am-4:30pm. Salary: $16.50 per hour Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hr for time worked between 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Primary Responsibilities * Performs routine operations including the opening of sample bags, creating accessions and batches, orders proper test(s), applies bar code labels. * Scans Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ensuring proper orientation and reproducible documents. * Determines if proper aliquot achieved; may be required to hand pour aliquots using bulb pipettes. * Separates out samples that require additional attention. * Keys in client and donor information noting any deficiencies after being signed off for the operation by the Team Lead * May perform additional duties including transporting batches to other departments, placing or pulling samples from freezer storage, while assuring proper chain of custody. * Follows all laboratory policies and procedures; adheres to all health and safety standards * All other duties as assigned. Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent, required * Experience working in a lab or high-volume production environment, preferred. * Ability to interpret and follow complex, written instructions, required. * Strong attention to detail, required * Ability to work independently as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment, required. * Data entry skills via a keyboard (alpha and numeric), required * Strong hand-eye coordination, required. * Physical demands required to perform critical tasks in this role include standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 25lbs, bending and carrying.
