Perform root cause analysis to determine a plan of action for restoring customer's services.Operate among a myriad of internal teammates and external telecommunication partners to follow through with operational processes and improve restoration times.
Facilitate coordination with our User Community, the Field Services Group, and telecommunication partners for both Break/Fix actions, as well as Change Management activities.
Document Trouble Tickets and Change Requests of all related activities.
Work in a 24x7 network control environment, including Weekends and Holidays.
Support short-term emergency evacuation to local or remote backup facilities.

REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Networking, Information Technology or related field; OR at least 8 years of related work experience with a HS Diploma.
Experience with domain knowledge of L1 through L4 of the OSI Model.
Experience with L2 and L3 protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IBGP, EBGP, IS-IS, and MPLS.
Experience with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Network Management System (NMS) applications used to monitor networked devices.
Experience working with Long Term Evolution (LTE), VPN, and DMVPN technologies.
Experience with Change Management practices and familiarity with the Wiki Markup Language.
Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
Covid Vaccination is required.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLSExperience with call center phone systems and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in maintaining high service levels in a demanding customer support services environment.
CCENT, CCNA, CCNP and/or ITIL v3/4 certifications.

• High School diploma and 3+ yrs. of related experience; Associates and Bachelor's degrees, preferred.
• Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE) prior to start date.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
• Understanding of Satellite Communications (SATCOM) architecture and signal flow.
• Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, Promina, CISCO (multiplexers), Juniper, ADTRAN, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching, SATCOM/MILSATCOM.
• General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
• Familiarity with the operation of trunk (bulk), MILSATCOM, and data encryption devices.
• Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall network support for customer programs including monitoring and evaluating various components of the DISA Enterprise Network.
• Partner with engineering team to provide specifications for network architecture, evaluating and integrating new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments.
• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and system architectures to develop solutions for network outages or other systems issues.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems.
• Interacts with customer and/or senior leadership regarding network engineering, technical considerations, and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• May be required to troubleshoot issues utilizing established procedures.
• This is a rotating shift position and must be available for a rotating shift.
• Verify equipment is operating within parameters of predetermined configurations and react to alarms as necessary.
• Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SONET, IP and SATCOM network issues.
• Provide SONET/SDH/IP network support to include configuration of switches, routers, multiplexers, media converters, and modems.
• Utilization of diagrams, maps, cut sheets, and TSOs/SAAs/GAAs as source documentation for network configuration.
• Utilize ticketing applications to aid in customer problem tracking and resolution in all aspects of the network integral to our customer's communications.

This position will involve less than 10% travel

Location: DGOC EAST = Scott Air Force Base, IL

Responsibilities

• Utilize relationship-building expertise to oversee carriers and Product Distribution Center (PDC) staff to ensure a consistent flow of material from holding facilities into the PDC. The flow of material must be aligned and meet corporate KPIs (i.e customer service levels, cost reduction initiatives, and throughput). 30%
• Develop and implement processes (or systems) improvements in order to maximize organizational effectiveness. 20%
• Generate KPI reports ensuring effective communication of performance against objectives for internal customers, external customers, and executive management. Monitor shipments and material receiving schedules and provide timely reports. 20%
• Provide analysis to support critical business decisions of the management team, such as cost savings and efficiencies for freight shipments and moving material. 10%
• Work closely with customers and vendors to support business and improve processes.
• Develop, review, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). 10%

Reports to: Sr. Supply Chain Manager


Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

Educational Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field is preferred but not required.
• APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) or other supply chain-related certifications or affiliations are a plus but not required.

Experience Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of highly successful experience in Operations, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or experience in any sophisticated, disciplined manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in Operations, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and/or Warehouse Operations.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills required
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Excellent organizational skills (Reports and Timelines)
• Thorough understanding of complex inventory management software
• Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Access or other SQL is preferred
