New Horizons in Autism, Inc. company history timeline

1990

Sam’s Café Project, an 11,000 square foot banquet hall and professional kitchen providing food service training to clients was opened in 1990.

1993

In 1993, the organization changed its name to New Horizons in Autism Inc., and services were expanded to include vocational, day habilitation, behavior therapy, and continued expansion in residential services.

1994

"A grassroots, non-profit organization for our families, friends and neighbors impacted by disability since 1994."

2001

The Windows to the Future $4 million fundraising campaign was launched in 2001 to help expand client program services, facility upgrades and the endowment fund.

2005

Workshop contracts began to grow, with over $1million in goods being packaged from 2005 onward.

2006

In September of 2006, New Horizon Center built a 31,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility that was designed to meet the needs and challenge the abilities of students and adults with severe developmental disabilities and autism.

2012

In 2012, New Horizons received a HUD Grant to develop a group home for individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Alzheimer’s.
