We are looking for machinists for our 3/12 hours shifts. The shift is:
Friday 6am-6pm
Saturday 6am- 6pm
Sunday 6am-6pm
The week is 36 hours but you will make an additional $2.75/hour while on this shift.
Full time work, with health benefits and 401k.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Make adjustments using offsets to keep parts within tolerance
• Check parts that have been machined for dimensional accuracy
• Inspect, measure and record quality checks
• Use a micrometer, calipers, depth gage, bore gage, thread gages and height gage
• Meet or exceed production and quality requirements
• Will perform minor set up changeovers
• Maintain, set-up, and operate CNC machines efficiently, maximizing machine utilization, and produce parts to required specifications per the production schedule
• Fully understand the fit and function of components to ensure proper function of assemblies
• Understand feeds, speeds, tooling, and operational sequences
• Read and understand multi-view drawings and blueprints
• Perform needed inspections and report issues and work with minimum supervision in regards to technical assistance
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions when faced with adversity
• Responsible for meeting performance goals for scrap, rework, labor efficiency, and downtime

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Learn to remove, reset, replace, and sharpen machine tools with surface and/or pedestal grinders to maintain of production in accordance with specifications.
Use standard dimensional inspection gages (depth, height, ring, thread, snap, micrometers, over screen charts, calipers, etc.) to check the conformance of machined components to item specifications.
Learn to refer to in-process drawings of machined components and defect list for definition of relevant dimensional tolerances and characteristics.
Use a basket system to insure effective sampling of the of machined components and start machines to maintain of items being produced and maintain necessary production efficiency.
Load automatic screw machines with bar stock or previously machined components.
Maintain fluid levels needed to insure proper machine tool, or machine lubrication as well as safe and efficient screw machine operation.
Remove metal shavings and chips from automatic screw machines as deemed necessary to maintain safe and efficient operation.
Use lift trucks and overhead cranes to transport materials as needed.
Learn to perform all routine maintenance on automatic screw machines.
Learn to set up from layouts, automatic screw machines to produce components to blueprint and dimensional tolerances from bar stock or previously machined components.
Performs any related duties as required or assigned.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our second shift team. The ideal candidate will have experience programming, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines, specifically multi-axis lathes.
Essential Functions:
Ability to perform limited duties with significant oversight.
Reads and interprets work instructions for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.

Machinists at National Machinery will manufacture various parts and components for all facets of the business. Machinists will work individually as well as a in a group to accomplish both individual, department, and company goals.
Machine parts to specifications following instructions, drawings, blueprints, and specifications using boring mills or similar CNC equipment.
Download, edit, run, create and save new programs on various machine controls to meet engineering drawing dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
Work closely with Programmers, Manufacturing and Design Engineers to ensure a high-quality output with adherence to all safety standards.
Adhere to routing operation instructions to machine features to desired results, also must have the ability to evaluate sample parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine sequences of operations to machine products that may require specific feature rework or install.
Manually setup and machine parts to specifications using custom and standard fixturing with tools like tombstones, vises and modular fixturing.
Operate and maintain large CNC Mills, Horizontal Boring Mills or Double Gantry Vertical Mills to produce precision parts efficiently and effectively.
Working with large components and fixturing, use of rigging practices, large cranes and heavy equipment to properly set up and achieve requirements of machined components and/or assemblies.
Measure and examine completed parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, use of precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, depth micrometers and other measurement tools.

Minimum Qualifications
Good understanding of CNC machining practices in low carbon, alloy, tool steels and other materials
Highly proficient in tooling selection for milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring operations including calculating for speeds, feeds, D.O.C. to achieve the desired tolerance and finish.
Must be able to interpret and be proficient in both Metric and Inch, required for tooling, measurement, program editing and part requirements.
Ability to precisely measure and examine completed parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, depth micrometers and other measurement tools.
Able to meet an elevated level of efficient operation utilizing technical expertise including attention to detail, interpreting written and oral instructions, drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
Associate's degree or certification with concentration in machine trades or equivalent experience.
Experienced in crane operation and rigging of parts to build large setups to engineering prints. Set parts, accurately align, and position for zero pickup. Ability to safely roll parts over 200 LBS
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve the best results and share best practices and information throughout the department and organization, also be able to work independently following schedules in the most efficient manner
Flexibility to work overtime to meet business needs and schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
