SUMMARY: To process various products on a variety of CNC equipment and/or cells.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Set up, adjust and operate a wide variety of numericallycontrolled machines and or cells, to perform rough and finish operations on a wide variety of casting, forgings and parts of copper, aluminum, steel graphite and other ferrous or non-ferrous metals and alloys. Work from programs, operational data and set up instructions. Manually perform deburring operations during cycle by hand sanding, belt sanding or operate single drill press and cleaning equipment to perform secondary operations. Use other hand tools, as necessary to maintain required quality. Will assist in training when needed. Other duties may be assigned.

What You'll Do

Identify design conflicts early and collaborate closely with Drafting, Engineering, Production, Project Management, and Purchasing.

What We're Looking For
Experience in architectural millwork, casework, store fixtures, or other custom / engineer-to-order fabrication.
Proficiency with Microvellum (or other library-based engineering systems), plus strong AutoCAD skills.
CNC programming background; experience with Homag/WoodWOP is a plus.
Solid understanding of commercial AWI standards and typical millwork construction methods.
Strong ability to read drawings and translate concepts into accurate build instructions.

Grand Valley Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd Shift Large Lathe Operator to join and grow with our Titusville, PA team. The 2nd Shift Large Lathe Operator will be responsible for the correct setup and operation of Large CNC or Manual Lathes up to 84" diameter and 67' long.
Role and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of piece of work, sequence operations, and setup requirements.
Perform set-up of machine, choosing the correcting cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for optimum productivity.
Run production, monitoring the machining process, checking parts throughout the run, making necessary adjustments to conform to specifications and maintaining tight tolerances throughout run.
Observe machine operation to predict or detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining conditions and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
Able to make minor changes to cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs
Verify that all machined details are produced in a manner that meets router specifications.
Correctly use micrometers and calipers to read measurements; able to use a dial indicator to line up a shaft in a machine and determine straightness
Perform safe lifting and maneuvering of parts utilizing hoists, overhead crane, jib crane, and/or forklift.
Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machine and work area

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Possesses knowledge of GD&T
Strong mathematical skills and analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Additional Notes
