General Purpose: The Centralized Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of PrairieLand Partners (PLP) vehicles to transport equipment for PrairieLand Partners (PLP). The Centralized Truck Driver reports to the Transportation Manager. Essential Functions:

Transports equipment to and from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick-up new equipment loads from a John Deere factory.
Safely loads, secures, and unloads equipment and cargo.
Assists with loading and unloading outside deliveries coming to and from dealership locations.
Supports the sales and parts departments with deliveries as needed.
Maintains detailed transportation records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts for loads.
Maintains all required certifications in line with Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and PLP policies.
Collects and reports on monthly documents for on-site PLP vehicles and trailers.
Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
Maintains assigned trucks and related equipment in good operating condition.
Performs daily and annual DOT inspections on PLP vehicles and trailers for the location.
Assists in keeping the location facilities organized and professional looking.
Assists technicians as needed with repairs, pre-delivery set-up, washing equipment, etc.
Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

Knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads.
Ability to perform minor roadside repairs, such as installing light bulbs.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent is required.
Experience:
One year of experience as a Class A Motor Vehicle Operator is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Commercial drivers license is required.
Must have proof of ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
Passing a Drug Screen is required at random request and in the event of a qualified traffic incident as required by PLP or to comply with DOT requirements.

Responsibilities
Support maintenance work orders and daily schedules in an ACT manner.
Assist with inventory control of tools, MRO supplies, instruments, and facility assets.
Perform planned and preventive maintenance (PPM) on equipment as assigned.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas using 6S and housekeeping best practices.
Support calibration, care, and accuracy of gauges and instruments following ISO, safety, and manufacturer standards.
Ensure machinery, tools, and facility assets are properly maintained and in good working order.
Follow all OSHA, environmental, safety, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement activities.
Contribute to efficiency improvements, cost-reduction efforts, and operational problem-solving.
Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and engagement in ongoing training and development.
Qualifications
High school diploma or technical degree.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to complete instructions accurately and safely.
Strong reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Preferred
Experience in maintenance, repair, facilities support, or mechanical work.
Certifications in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or equipment operation.
Familiarity with gauges, measurement tools, and preventive maintenance processes.

Cook Responsibilities:

We are proud our sales consultants earn an average annual salary of $40,000 to $64,000, combining a base hourly rate plus uncapped commission. We provide paid training and a guaranteed ramp-up rate during your first 60 days of employment.
Employees accrue paid time off each pay period at a rate of no less than 40 hours per year for their first year and 80 hours per year each year thereafter. You are entitled to minimum requirements for paid sick leave under appropriate state law if applicable.
