Role Description:
Work in close partnership with Fixed Income Front Office Technology Management Team to define and implement a delivery and engagement model that drives increasing business productivity and results. This person has extensive experience in technology delivery management to both manage a team of delivery/program/project managers and partner with business and technology leaders to drive results. Additionally, this role will work closely with the Head of Technology Strategy and Product Management to make sure Fixed Income Strategy and Roadmaps are aligned with departmental objectives and processes.
Key responsibilities:
* Partner with the fixed income front office technology management team and business stakeholders to define, maintain and align teams into consistent representation of strategy and road-mapping to support Morgan Stanley's corporate business objectives
* Implement an effective and consistent engagement model across all fixed income front office technology teams, on top of the existing Agile implementation
* Work with the Technology CAO to connect the strategic objectives and roadmaps to the financial plans, board reporting and workforce strategy related to the fixed income front office technology team
* Support fixed income front office technology leadership in defining annual objectives and the strategic IT initiatives to support those objectives
* Engage with MSIM/MS Corporate Centers of Excellence related to delivery management / agile / delivery implementation capabilities.
* Integrate with and contribute to delivery management KPIs and standard operating procedures for the team and the department
* Continually identify opportunities to improve the department and our practices, always challenging status quo in a constructive way
* Lead fixed income front office technology change projects as required
* Manage a small team of delivery managers
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 10 years' experience in financial services, preferably in investment management
* Extensive experience in working with senior business partners to drive technology-led innovation from concept to realized business results
* Experience partnering with senior level architects to define, mobilize and execute innovative solutions teams
* Experience working within large, complex organizations
* Extensive experience in project management of large complex programs and program portfolios
* Experience communicating program portfolio level status, including issues & risks to executives
* Strong stakeholder management experience
* Proven analytical and quantitative skills, and an ability to use data and metrics to support assumptions and develop business cases
* High level of EQ
* A willingness to constructively challenge the status quo
