Job summary:Performs diversified tasks necessary in the preparation, assembly, and quality of various products according to design specifications, standards and customer requirements.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:• Assemble customized close-tolerance mechanical parts based specific work instructions;• Inspection of parts for char, cracks, and other deformation per instruction;• Soldering, wire stripping, testing and some deburring required• Perform computer transactions necessary to reference online documentation, and provide production order feedback on time, quantity, scrap, batch control and quality information• Preparation and installation of components requiring an extensive number of solder connections.Required Minimum QualificationsEducation/Certifications:• HS Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience required• IPC certification strongly preferred Skills and Experience:• 1 year of related mechanical/electromechanical experience required• Preference given to candidates with previous soldering experience; Ability to achieve soldering certification required• Display a high degree of competency in soldering and de-soldering.• Working knowledge of all equipment required to complete assembly jobs. This includes test equipment, a soldering station, spot welder, hand tools, drill press, heat gun, programmable oven, vent hood, manual processes, etching and trimming tools.• Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude• Must exhibit proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings, assembly procedures, bills of material, and routings.• Must be proficient in reading & understanding technical drawings, assembly procedures, bill of materials and routings.
