**Job Specifications:**

+ Starting Wage: $20 / hour

+ Effective October 2022 minimum wage will be increased to $20 per hour.

+ Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time

**Job Summary:**

Ski and ride, every day, while at work! The Mountain Operations Attendant is responsible for the setup/tear down and maintenance of our Ski & Snowboard School facilities, on-mountain kids' trails, competition and event venues, and other mountain operation's needs. This position operates as a part of a wider team and interfaces with many teams and groups across the mountain. As such, the team gets to access all five peaks that Breckenridge has to offer. A successful attendant must be willing and able to complete job duties in extreme winter weather conditions for extended periods. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a vehicle/snowmobile driving check.

**Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):**

+ Daily grooming/maintenance of kids' trails (5) via snowmobile nordic grooming and hand shoveling.

+ Daily set up and tear down of outdoor teaching areas.

+ Installation and maintenance of Ski & Snowboard School park features and terrain.

+ Weekly schedule for cleaning of on-mountain facilities including restrooms and trash & recycling zones at the top of lifts and in Ski School areas.

+ Maintenance of all padding, fencing and signs on Ski School trails, teaching zones, and competition areas using best practice guidelines.

+ Snow shoveling of entry ways, decks, learning areas and magic carpet belts.

+ Snowmobile support for on-mountain projects, competition race & events, maintenance and guest assistance.

+ Providing positive, informative and courteous communication with guests and other employees.

+ Operate with cooperation and support, creating a "team spirit" working environment.

+ Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements:**

+ Ability to lift up to, and sometimes more than, 50lbs - required.

+ Ability to work with power tools (cordless drills, etc.) - required.

+ Ability to safely operate authorized vehicles - required.

+ Valid U.S. Driver's license - required.

+ High school diploma - required.

+ Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English - required.

+ Ability to ski and work outside in all weather conditions, for 8+ hours per day - required.

+ Intermediate or higher skiing or riding ability: Level 6+ - required.

+ Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays - required.

+ Race course operations or background - preferred.

+ USSA official's license - preferred.

+ Ability to operate a snowmobile (need a valid driver's license) - preferred.

The budgeted range starts at $20. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
