Pratt & Whitney Autoair (Lansing, MI) is looking for a dynamic leader to take on a Production Supervisor (Cell Leader) role within our Operations team. This role is very visible and provides a fantastic opportunity to develop a leadership career path in Operations.
PWAA is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Set daily production goals for individual employees and follow up on progress
+ Allocate available labor resources and ensure production schedules are met
+ Maintain and review production requirements with the Operations Manager
+ Ensure that all employees are accurately trained
+ Interpret the Union-Management Collective Bargaining Agreement
+ Administer and implement Shop Rules, Safety Rules, and Regulations which may require disciplinary action being taken for an infraction(s)
+ Approve personal time, vacation, transfers, and start time changes
+ Perform Tool Box talks covering current issues
+ Coordinate CORE and EHS activities
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of manufacturing industry experience; OR Associate's Degree and +4 years of manufacturing industry experience; OR High School Diploma and 8+ years of manufacturing industry experience
+ US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of Operations Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Aftermarket Aerospace Composite and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
+ Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
+ Proven track record of leadership and experience working in a union shop
+ Outstanding record of overcoming obstacles with limited resources in a dynamic manufacturing environment
+ Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP material ordering systems
