Job Description
Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs. We are currently looking for experienced Class A tractor trailer Transport Drivers in Clearfield, PA. As this is a seasonal position we are looking to hire drivers to start in April/May of 2026.
Primary Duties
* Haul asphalt based emulsion oil, mostly in Pennsylvania with some occasional out of state work.
* Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle. This requires climbing up, on and over unit to verify everything is in proper working order.
Experience & Qualifications
Must have a valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement; HazMat Endorsement preferred
Must have a good driving record
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with loading and appropriately securing product onto or inside delivery vehicle using motorized or non-motorized material handling equipment.
Assists Driver in delivering and off-loading product at customer facility. With assistance from Driver will carry product (i.e., drywall, windows, doors, etc) to a designated area at the customer site.
Delivers customer orders to customer site using a company van or pickup truck. Obtains signed proof of delivery.
Drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads, ensuring compliance with appropriate safety regulations.
Inspects and maintains delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Summary: Responsible for timely and safe transportation of individuals with disabilities by performing the following duties.

Transporting passengers as listed on a driver manifest, which includes designated pick-up and drop-off locations and times, issued daily.
Maintaining a secure environment for passengers, including escorting riders from the curb of the pick-up or drop-off point to and from the vehicle and providing physical assistance to passengers, when requested.
Exercising patience and sensitivity toward all passengers and practices professionalism in action and in speech to family members, staff at offices, agencies, and the general public
Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
Ensures proper maintenance of vehicle to include checking oil and fuel, keeping vehicle neat and clean and reporting all accidents/damage/malfunctions to Manager.
Communicates with dispatch via the Garmin System.
Reports all customer complaints to the manager immediately.

The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver's responsibilities include safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and Company operating goals. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Transports deliveries in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company policy and applicable State & Federal regulations.
Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to the capacity of the load and content description.
Processes and maintains proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation and submits in a timely manner.
Maintains communication with dispatch as to any delays or issues during route/shift.

Performs a daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits logbooks as required by company policy. Maintains vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
Reports all accidents/damages/malfunctions immediately to management as per company policy and procedure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a valid Class A CDL with TWIC, HAZMAT, and Tank Endorsement
Minimum of 24 months commercial driving experience
No more than 2 major moving violations within a 3 year period
No more than 2 accidents within a 3 year period
DOT Drug Screening required
No Felony convictions
No DUI's/ DWI's within the last 7 years
No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests
Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
Must be 23 Years of age or older
Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working conditions require work weeks that may consist of more than 40 hours or shift work. A tanker driver must also be physically able to load and unload the tanker.
