Summary/Objective: The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations. Responsibilities: Operate and set up all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training, guidelines and safety procedures. Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear. Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings. Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment. Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc. Wash and clean company equipment - Pressure wash, clean cabs, etc. General housekeeping - sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized. Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs - Return equipment and PPE back to designated areas. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 1 Years' experience required behind an 18-wheeler. Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Must be capable of driving manual transmission in addition to automatic. No auto restrictions. Must have TANKER Endorsement. Must possess a valid Transportation Workers Identification card (TWIC) or be able to obtain one. Must possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain one.     Lead Reentry Coach/Driver The Center of Reentry Excellence (CORE) operates multiple facilities that operate as central service hubs for the coordination of reentry services for justice-impacted individuals and their families. The Lead Reentry Coach/Driver performs a wide range of critical functions in support of services available through CORE. As a transportation coordinator, the role has direct responsibility for coordinating operations related to a discrete program or set of services available through CORE, and as a Lead Reentry Coach may be tasked with providing some direct services and with the supervision of a limited number of Reentry Coaches or Peer Navigators as deemed necessary to achieve CORE's objectives. In Coordinating transportation services for CORE, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the reentry population with transportation to and from certain reentry related activities, including driving the CORE operated shuttle, an 8 passenger van, and with assisting individuals in obtaining or maintaining their own personal transportation options. The transportation oordinator, with the assistance of their manager, will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the service quality level of CORE's transportation services. In the absence of their manager, this role may be assigned some level of responsibility for supporting the day-to-day activities at their assigned worksite. The Transportation Coordinator may be called upon to serve as a “problem solver” for clients or partners to improve access to and the effectiveness of reentry services available through CORE. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that either reports to a CORE Program Manager or Site Manager; evening and weekend work may be required. All Alameda County residents and formerly incarcerated individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
