* Provide preceptor work with medical students, psychiatry residents, and psychiatry fellows who train at IMHI through the State's public-sector psychiatry residency/fellowship program delivered with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. This includes collaboration with UIHC and HHS Central Office to expand and refine education and training opportunities to develop the pipeline of public-sector psychiatrists in Iowa.
* Adjunct faculty appointment with UIHC may be available if interested. Adjunct faculty appointment would include access to numerous virtual learning opportunities including grand rounds, faculty development, free CME, and online access to numerous clinical databases and electronic books.
* Fulfill a 40-hour per week position with on-call responsibilities. On-call responsibilities are required and receive additional compensation.

This position will provide overall medical care and provide medical management for patients, exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided, in the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital. You will function independently and/or as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver, and evaluate health care for the inpatient Newborn Nursery population. The position will consist of 12-hour shifts with rotating day and night shifts.

Duties to include:
Assesses the patient's health status by means of history taking, physical examination, laboratory studies, and any additional means that are determined to be appropriate.
Plans and communicates treatment programs relating to the health aspects of the patient's needs.

As a team, we meet monthly for a team meeting and monthly for a patient experience touch base. Daily, we have a short morning huddle to secure handoffs and ensure everyone is ready for the day.
We work in EPIC, with access to our internal informatics platform.

MercyOne is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Hospitalist team serving patients at our Cedar Falls and Waterloo campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional inpatient care.
Position Highlights
* Schedule: Flexible shifts with a mix of days/nights; no outpatient responsibilities.
* Team Environment: Work alongside experienced hospitalists and a multidisciplinary care team.
* Patient Census: Manage acute care patients in a supportive setting with specialists available for consults.
* Technology: Utilize EPIC EMR for streamlined documentation and communication.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive inpatient care, including admissions, rounding, and discharge planning.
* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure quality outcomes.
* Participate in care coordination and transitions of care.
Qualifications
* Licensed NP or PA in Iowa (or eligible).
* Experience in acute care or hospital medicine preferred.
* Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a team-based model.

Responsibilities
Cover a variety of cases including general, urology, neurosurgery, ortho, podiatry, and OB as well as out of the OR procedures
Work independently without supervision
Participate in 30 1st calls per year with post call day off
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
NBCRNA required
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the CRNA's field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
