The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) safely provides anesthesia to surgical patients for a variety of operations and/or procedures. The CRNA provides pain medication and anesthesia care for patients before, during, and after surgery. • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
• Administer various forms of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.
• Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia depth during procedures.
• Manage airway and respiratory support as necessary throughout the surgical process.
• Provide care in the post-anesthesia recovery unit, monitoring patients' recovery.
• Assess and manage any immediate postoperative complications or side effects related to anesthesia.
