Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) has an outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC psychiatrist interested in serving in our Psychiatric Emergency Service with Unity Center for Behavioral Health. Unity Center for Behavioral Health offers emergency as well as inpatient mental health treatment for adults, including walk-in or drop-off services. We provide immediate psychiatric care and a path to stabilization and recovery for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, and utilizes a non-coercive, highly community-oriented treatment program, which prevents hospitalization when possible, and returns patients to community services as soon as feasible. This 100+ bed psychiatric hospital and large psychiatric emergency service in Portland, Oregon is a collaborative effort to address the mental health needs of the community. UCBH is also a major training site for the department's residency training program, medical students, and other health profession's trainees.
