Oracle developer job description

Our Client is looking for an Oracle Developer to join their team in Downtown Houston! This is a multiyear contract. We are looking for someone that wants to grow within the organization! Must be willing to come onsite 3 times per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 yrs and maximum of 15 yrs of working experience in total

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL Tuning skills

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL Development skills

• Proficient in database development utilizing partitions, DBMS jobs, packages, procedures, function and Oracle user defined types

• Proficient in working with UI teams/applications and using cursors, XML, JSON etc

• Strong experience in developing end to end jobs as part of ETL

• Data analysis skills to debug, trace and fix performance problems

• 2+ yrs of experience with Python, exposure to DB connect libs and others like requests, JSON, pandas etc

• Willing to work from Houston Office

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata

• Familiarity with MemSQL, No-SQL DBS and Big data technologies is a big plus.

• Bachelors degree in business management information systems or computer science

• Good written and oral communication skills.

The Oracle Essbase and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Analyst Developer is a key member of the Corporate Systems team with a focus on supporting the financial decision-making needs of AMC Networks worldwide users. This role centers around the use of the two tools used for this, namely Oracle Essbase and Oracle EPM.

The role is alongside several existing analyst developers and will include day to day support work as well as a range of interesting and diverse, business critical projects. There will be regular interaction with business users. Some changes will need to be made outside of office hours.

This role is for someone with at least two+ years of hands-on experience in either (or ideally) both tools. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills, with a good work ethic, be a team player and interact well with business colleagues. A “can do” attitude with a focus on business outcomes is key.

AMCN is expanding its use of financial decision making and new generation planning tools and this role provides an exciting opportunity to learn and receive training in other planning / reporting software such as PowerBI.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partnering with end users to modify / develop new Essbase cubes / EPM planning functions Investigating and resolving Essbase / EPM issues Completing appropriate project documentation Carrying out on / off boarding of users Assisting with periodic loading of data Developing additional reporting in tools such as PowerBI

SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementing major and minor Essbase updates, some of these will need to be outside of office hours Suggesting and implementing ideas to automate repetitive tasks Answering periodic audit queries Helping to coordinate disaster recovery testing Providing advice and training to power users and other internal staff Adhering to the AMC Networks change control process and operational model Logging of service requests with Oracle and MicrosoftParticipating in projects to move to new future planning platforms and systems

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrable hands-on knowledge of Essbase and EPMAt least 3+ years' experience of working with Essbase / EPMProven ability to resolve issues and develop long term and permanent solutions Knowledge of Windows server scripting / scheduling is beneficial Good basic financial understanding Experience of Microsoft PowerBI is of benefit but is not essential, as training will be provided Experience of working in an environment governed by change control

Oracle CPQ Solution Developer

As a member of the CMD CRM IT team you will be responsible for providing techno-functional support to the CMD sales and commercial ops Organization in development of end-to-end functional quoting solutions.

This role requires experience developing Oracle solutions in the areas of Quote creation, configuration, discount management and output documents. The Oracle CPQ Developer must possess good interpersonal skills as he/ she will partner with the business SMEs to define as well as implement end to end Quoting solutions.

The right candidate will have a proven track record with Oracle CPQ implementations and out-of-the-box development and implementation, be familiar with a sales/quoting process and the requirements of those processes, be able to demonstrate experience with JET UI and Document Designer development, and be proficient in the aspects of integrations with other systems such as CRM and ERP.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of IT service experience, with at least 4+ years demonstrated ability on the Oracle CPQ platform.

Oracle CPQ Yellow & Blue Belt certification is a MUST

2+ years working with Salesforce.com or related applications (preferred).
