You are on-the-go throughout your entire shift, using a voice-controlled system to select full-case grocery, frozen and/or other perishable products using a ride-on electric pallet jack. You'll palletize cases and prepare pallets to ship to your local store(s) lifting up to 87 lbs. at any given time to shoulder level and up to 76.5lbs overhead, throughout an entire shift - what a workout! RESPONSIBILITIES Selects orders assigned by operations clerk, and loads onto the proper route. Performs other job functions as assigned by supervisors QUALIFICATIONS Education Prefer High School or GED. Experience Preferred 1-year related experience. Electric pallet jack experience preferred. Professional Skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long periods in a cooler environment. Physical Demand Frequent lifting of a product up to 50 lbs. during the shift, infrequent lifting up to 80 lbs. Must be able to climb on and off powered industrial equipment. Regularly bend, squat, push, and pull. Work Environment Must be able to work in confined spaces DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY Most important decisions made fully independently: Selecting the appropriate items from the correct slot. Most important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required): Anything that the selector is unsure of doing.
