We are looking for an experienced Parts & Inventory Expediter to support our team in coordinating the movement of material and parts between production areas; maintain schedules regarding production, progress, order priorities and deadlines.
Position Responsibilities:
§ Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule.
§ Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules; consulting with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates.
§ Safely operate forklifts and heavy equipment.
§ Load and unload raw materials from trucks and deliver those supplies and parts to work centers by using a forklift to expedite the flow of materials to meet production schedule.
§ Able to read blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
§ Complete time and data entry into company data acquisition system in accordance with company policy.
§ Use hand tools, shrink wrap, crating and palletizing equipment to package parts for shipment.
§ Assist shipping/receiving with packaging of products for shipment, as required.
§ Follow work order directions and safely produce required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerance and cosmetic quality.
§ Report any unsafe condition and /or malfunctioning items in need of repair.
§ Follow all company rules, policies, safety, and quality standards.
§ Maintain working area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
§ Complete work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
§ Perform other such duties as may be required.

The Parts Expeditor role is responsible for communicating with vendors and researching other sources to reduce wait-time and improve customer service. Oversees the combined bulk purchases of parts with company vendors. Ensures the best prices, by analyzing cost and negotiating pricing with vendors.

Manage Companywide Backorders
Be the first point of contact with our vendors/manufacturers to follow up on backordered parts
Determine if orders need to be expedited in a different manner in order to receive parts sooner
Work with all Parts Operations Managers to determine if an alternate source is needed or can be used
Complete Excess moving elsewhere between branches monthly to help move stock to the branch that has activity
Research comparable products pricing online to help keep us up to date on industry trends. Recommending price changes, if applicable
Maintain communication with all affected departments - parts, service, new sales, etc.,
Follow up on all backordered stock order items
Maintain alternate sources in the system as they are found
Maintain all open purchase orders for all branches and be sure they are active
Direct Procurement of Bulk PurchasesProcess purchasing requestions for the procurement of bulk parts purchases
Work existing vendors and source alternatives for inventory efficiencies and upmost customer satisfaction
Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships and act as main point of contact with suppliers to resolve price, quality, and delivery issues in regards to bulk purchases
Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures
Assist in managing price files Download current price files on the 1st of each month into Sharepoint
Coordinate price file emails with Parts Pricing Team and Software Support
