Seeking creative & collaborative humans with a passion for changing mental health care in fun and meaningful ways
Independent franchisees are Equal Opportunity employers committed to diverse and inclusive workforces. Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Ellie Family Services, PLLP, d/b/a “Ellie Mental Health”, Ellie MSO, LLC, or Ellie FAM LLC. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee clinic is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their clinic, including the terms and conditions of employment for their employees, such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling. Depending on the clinic location you select, the job for which you apply may be in a clinic owned and operated by an independent franchisee, and not with the corporate-owned clinics, which are based in Minnesota. This means the franchisee, not Ellie Family Services, PLLP, is responsible for all employment matters at the clinic. If you are hired for the job, the franchisee will be your employer, not Ellie Family Services, PLLP or any of its affiliated entities. For franchisee clinic locations, please contact the franchisee organization directly to the extent you need assistance in completing forms or otherwise participating in that franchisee's application process.
Ellie Mental Health is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, veteran or military status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, genetic information, or any other legally-recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances. Applicants with disabilities may be entitled to reasonable accommodation under the terms of the Americans with Disabilities Act and certain state or local laws. A reasonable accommodation is a change or adjustment to a job or work environment that will ensure an equal employment opportunity without imposing an undue hardship on the operation of the business.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Seeking creative & collaborative humans with a passion for changing mental health care in fun and meaningful ways. Don't meet EVERY requirement?
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Ellie Mental Health is devoted to purposefully building an inclusive and diverse workplace where all of our humans can be their authentic selves!
(Authenticity is one of our core values, after all…)
If you're excited about the chance to be a change-maker with us, but your past experience doesn't perfectly align with every single qualification of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. Our mental health jobs need dedicated individuals from every background who are willing to care for others. And who knows, you might just be the perfect candidate for another role!
Employee Experience
We take care of our people. It's that simple. From investing in their financial future, to providing wages that shatter the ceiling in our industry to reasonable caseload expectations we ensure that our people are happy. Happy employees do better work and provide better client care! No matter what it is that you do in your mental health career at Ellie, our clients depend on us cultivating an environment where our employees can thrive so that
they
can thrive too!
Y'all, jobs in mental health are tough jobs with a high risk of emotional fatigue and burnout. At Ellie, we use all of our core values of humor, creativity, authenticity, acceptance, determination, and compassion not just out in our communities, but we turn them inwards too! Our employees have clear growth paths for advancing their careers.
We have created a culture that reminds us that our employees are our leaders!
Company Structure
Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community's needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel “blah.”
Feeling
blah
doesn't help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time! So we created a new model: one that puts flexibility, innovative decision-making, creativity, and our people first, while remaining a socially conscious and responsible for-profit business focused on changing how we treat mental health.
In short, we're just people helping people. Wanna join the herd?

State Government Affairs Director (Florida)
Foundation for Government Accountability
Remote job in Naples, FL
The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) is seeking a State Government Affairs Director to oversee our government affairs work in Florida. In this role, you'll serve as FGA's chief representative to state policymakers, coordinating legislative engagement, cultivating relationships, and driving forward FGA's reform agenda in one of the nation's most influential states.
This is a role for a seasoned professional who combines savvy political judgment with executional excellence. The ideal candidate can see both the big picture and the small details, aligning FGA's priorities with Florida's policy opportunities to deliver tangible results that strengthen the state's position as a leader in conservative policy.
You'll be at the center of Florida's most important policy debates, building coalitions, anticipating challenges, and ensuring FGA's ideas translate into meaningful legislative wins.
CULTURE AND FIT
The people who consistently succeed at FGA are those whose actions and behavior reflect our five Core Values. If you adhere to these values and answer “yes” to each of these questions, you may be a fit.
1. Candid to Solve: Being willing to have tough conversations in order to solve issues and build trust
Do you seek out constructive feedback-and provide it to others-to solve issues and build trust with coworkers?
2. Grow or Die: We don't have a neutral gear; we must consistently challenge ourselves and each other to grow in our talents and skills.
Are you aware of your strengths and weaknesses, and do you seek out complementary skills and growth in order to mitigate your weaknesses?
3. Politically Savvy: Policy doesn't change in a vacuum, but in a political reality that we must understand and account for.
Do you agree that embracing the realities of politics is necessary to change public policy?
4. Partnership-Oriented: Internal and external relationships are not transactional. That starts with our team members and the perspective that we need the rest of the team to succeed in order to win personally.
Are you comfortable creating your own structure for work, such as setting work hours, your own priorities, and creating clarity and a workplan from a broad goal?
5. Bought in to Win: We're at FGA because we want to change policy. No one is counting hours or widgets, we are here to get results, and sometimes that will require going the extra mile or doing a job that isn't technically ours.
Do you fully support FGA's mission and believe that lives are improved through work, not welfare, and that free markets create more freedom and opportunity than government control?
The vast majority of those who don't get hired (or don't last) at FGA are due to a lack of fit with these values. Be prepared to have very candid conversations about them in our interview process.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead FGA's Government Affairs Strategy in Florida
Create and execute a comprehensive strategy to advance FGA's policy reforms in Florida.
Evaluate the political environment and develop strategies to shepherd initiatives through the legislative process.
Cultivate and Maintain Relationships with Key Stakeholders
Build and maintain trusted relationships with Florida policymakers, executive branch officials, and agency staff.
Serve as a resource to allied third-party organizations and emerging leaders to strengthen long-term relationships and FGA's credibility in Florida.
Manage and Oversee In-State Contractors
Provide direction, feedback, and alignment for in-state contractors supporting FGA's government affairs efforts.
Evaluate performance and identify opportunities for additional contract assistance when needed to maximize results.
Serve as FGA's Internal Point Person for Florida
Collaborate with the Federal Affairs, Policy and Research, Development, and Communications teams to ensure full alignment and communication across projects.
Provide timely updates and detailed tracking and reporting on legislative activity, meetings, and opportunities to position FGA for success in Florida and beyond.
REQUIREMENTS
Must reside in Florida and be willing to attend frequent in-person meetings with staff and policymakers.
Minimum of five years' experience in state government affairs, policy advocacy, or related political roles.
Deep understanding of Florida's legislative and executive processes and political dynamics.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable using technology to manage projects and communications.
Alignment with FGA's Core Values (described above).
TIMING, LOCATION, AND COMPENSATION
FGA is seeking to fill this position as soon as possible. While this role is remote and based out of Florida, it requires regular in-person engagement at the Capitol in Tallahassee and travel throughout the state to build relationships and advance FGA's agenda.
FGA has built a highly successful remote work culture over the past decade with systems and structures designed for clarity, flexibility, and great communication.
Key elements of the environment include:
Quarterly in-person team meetings at which you'll build deeper relationships, set clear goals aligned with FGA's big vision, and brainstorm how to seize new opportunities.
