The Director of Technology Programs works with the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) to support and promote the success of all technology offerings at the College. The director will serve as the Program Director of the Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Healthcare Informatics suite of credit-bearing academic programs, and provide leadership for the NSF-ATE Cybersecurity Preparation Academy (C-Prep) grant.
Essential Functions:
Specifically the Director of Technology Programs has the following responsibilities:
1). Serves as Program Director for the Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and Healthcare Informatics suite of credit-bearing academic programs with functions to include:
Provides leadership, development, direction, and administration of all aspects of the academic programs. Oversees the curricula for the programs and ensures that such curricula reflect academic excellence and current external market demand. Ensures coverage of program courses by qualified faculty. Holds responsibility for enrollment in these programs, and participates with other departments across the college to ensure that student recruitment efforts are effective. Hold responsibility for creation of the annual budget for the programs and handles all budgetary needs. Engages in program evaluation processes, including completion of annual reports and strategic plans as requested. Ensures that Program Learning Outcomes, as well as Course Learning Outcomes, are being collected and analyzed as requested by the Assessment and Research Office.
2). Provides fiscal and administrative oversight of the Cybersecurity Preparation Academy (C-Prep) grant with functions to include:
Submit NSF reports in collaboration with the AVPAA and grant administrative team. Provide outreach and implement existing courses as dual enrollment with high school partners. Provide professional development for high school and college faculty to improve technician education and student outcomes. Market the dual enrollment program to high school juniors through an annual cybersecurity competition. Enroll students in a pathway built on stackable industry certifications. Foster student success through individualized support and mentoring. Strengthen student connections to the workforce through work-based learning opportunities.
3). Off-site College level teaching responsibilities within the individual's discipline.
Teach assigned course in accordance with College defined learning objectives Develop course content, assignments and learning activities that permit measurement of student performance relative to standardized learning objectives Maintain and contribute to an inclusive and collaborative class environment Adhere to good instructional practices Cultivate a desire to build relationships, find solutions to problems and engage students in a way that promotes accountability for their learning
4). Performs other duties as assigned by the AVPAA or the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs.
