What You Will Do
• Manufactures small batches of experimental welding consumable products, provides feedback on manufacturability to engineers and scientists
• Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulas and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
• Conducts and documents a variety of standardized tests; prepares routine test specimens using established procedures and/or drawings; sets up and operates standard test equipment; records test data

Education & Experience Requirements

Your eligibility begins once you complete your Private Pilot Certificate.
Successfully complete an interview with PSA to become a Cadet in the program.

Upon completion of your Senior Cadet Interview, you are eligible for tuition reimbursement paid to you as follows:
$7,500 after the Senior Cadet Interview
$7,500 at time building (when they are within 500 hours of ATP minimums)
Total: $15,000
ATP-CTP Course paid upon reaching ATP/R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements.
PSA will pay for the ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) for qualified candidates needing to complete the ATP written exam prior to new hire training.
Hotel accommodations and ground transportation during the ATP-CTP course will be provided.
Get placed into the next available class at PSA upon reaching minimums, no additional interview
required.
Flow-through to American Airlines with no additional interview, once completing requirements at PSA.
Interview Process
Interview process is broken down into 3 sections:
Section 1 - HR Interview - Cadet
Section 2 - Technical Evaluation - Senior Cadet
Section 3 - Cadet Instructor Check-in and Logbook review - Cadet Instructor
Qualifications
Must have at least a private pilot certificate
Must be a current flight student OR CFI, actively instructing
No more than three check ride failures
No accident or incident determined by the NTSB to be negligent on behalf of the pilot/aviator
Ability to obtain a First-Class Medical
Ability to obtain a Valid Passport
Ability to obtain FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
Must be able to meet the necessary hours and qualification under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements
Cadets eligible for a R-ATP (1000 or 1250 hours), must have no more than 700 hours
Cadets requiring ATP (1500 hours), must have no more than 1200 hours
If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US

Disseminates relevant revisions and procedural changes to affected flight crew members.

Pilot-in-Command Currency

Chairs the Training Review Board (TRB).
Coordinate with other departments to ensure regulatory compliance with the FAA, ICAO, and EASA.
Maintain an adequate roster of qualified, current, and available pilots to meet the company requirements at all times.
Assist the Director of Operations as necessary. Act on his/her behalf when required by regulation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience as a Check Airman, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief Pilot, Fleet Manager, or Director of Operations at a FAR 121/135 carrier preferred.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or a related field preferred.
Previous Boeing aircraft operating experience preferred.
Ability to successfully complete Kalitta Air's Captain upgrade program on one of the following airframes B747 or B777.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS:

2500+ hours of total time minimum. 4000 hours preferred

Duties & Responsibilities
Flight Crew Oversight and Training
Directs all initial, recurrent, and upgrade training activities for flight crew members in accordance with company policies and FAA requirements.
Coordinates operational policies and training matters with relevant departments including safety, maintenance, sales, flight control, and training to ensure alignment and compliance.
Ensures crew standardization through regular evaluation, feedback, and corrective action as needed.
Documentation and Compliance
Audits aircraft documentation to verify that current required documentation (e.g., registration, airworthiness certificate, AFM) is onboard and accessible.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date proficiency records, flight schedules, operational reports, and correspondence related to flight operations.
Submits all required reports pertaining to flight crew activities to the Director of Operations (DO) in a timely manner.
Operational Control and Scheduling
Exercises Operational Control under 14 CFR §135.77, except when assigned as a required flight crewmember on a given flight, in which case release authority must be delegated.
Schedules flight crew members and establish duty hours in accordance with FAA flight duty limitations and company policy.
Along with the Director of Training, designates and oversees sufficient check airmen to meet the ongoing checking requirements of 14 CFR §§135.293, 135.297, and 135.299.
Aircraft Manuals and Technical Updates
Maintains a subscription to the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) revision service and/or manufacturer bulletins for each aircraft typed owned and/or operated by the company.
Reviews all updates to the AFM and evaluates their applicability to organizational operations.
Disseminates relevant revisions and procedural changes to affected flight crew members.
In collaboration with the Director of Training, incorporates applicable updates into the aircraft training program and ensures training materials reflect current operational guidance.
Pilot-in-Command Currency
Maintains proficiency and qualifications as a Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in accordance with 14 CFR §119.71, including currency in at least one aircraft type operated by the certificate holder.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership Experience: Prior supervisory or managerial experience in flight operations or crew training.
Check Airman Authorization: Previous designation as a Check Airman under 14 CFR §§135.293, 135.297, or 135.299.
Training Program Development: Experience designing or managing pilot training programs, including standardization and recurrent training.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with AFM revision services and manufacturer bulletins; ability to evaluate and integrate updates into operations.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting, crew advisories, and coordination with the DO and FAA.
Operational Systems: Proficiency with scheduling software, flight tracking systems, and document management platforms.
Safety Culture: Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in flight operations.
Required Qualifications
Pilot Certificate: Must hold a valid
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
certificate with appropriate ratings for aircraft operated.
PIC Qualification: Must be qualified to serve as

Experience:
If serving as Chief Pilot for the first time: Minimum of 3 years PIC experience within the past 6 years under Part 121 or Part 135 operations.
If previously served as Chief Pilot: Minimum of 3 years PIC experience under Part 121 or Part 135.
Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, and company manuals.
Operational Control: Must be eligible to exercise Operational Control under 14 CFR §135.77.
