Responsibilities

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
GS-2181-12 (Airplane Pilot/Helicopter Pilot):
Applicant must possess a USAF Pilot rating, hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order and have a minimum of 750 total military flight time in the organization's mission design series.
GS-2181-13 (Airplane Pilot/Helicopter Pilot):
Applicant must possess a USAF Pilot rating, hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order and have a minimum of 1,000 total military flight time in the organization's mission design series.
GS-2181-13 (Flight Instructor):
Applicant must possess two years of progressively responsible experience in a flying component of the U.S. military establishment in assignments that normally would qualify for progression into the position of Wing Operations and Training Officer or its equivalent.
AND
Must possess a USAF Pilot rating, hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order and have a minimum of 1,200 total military flight time in the organization's mission design series.
GS-2181-14 (Flight Instructor):

These are Air Reserve Technician (ART) positions. ARTs are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. This is a 6-month, part-time, temporary, non-benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2026. The appointment is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding.
The SparkEd Project is a pilot initiative to create a YouTube video platform where students teach other students how to 1) be content creators and storytellers, and 2) learn content in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) topics while integrating the use of AI. The goal is to amplify youth voice, creativity, and peer learning while testing new models for student-generated educational content.
The Pilot Project Manager will support and sustain planning, coordination, and implementation of the SparkEd pilot. This role involves managing project milestones, coordinating with educators and youth participants, and supporting the development of engaging, educational video content and certifications, while building a social media following for the YouTube channel. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with a background in educational innovation and digital media. This is a pilot program/emergent invention and will require flexibility, adaptability and creativity.

Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
Must be thoroughly familiar with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft utilized at operational area and also ensures that the medical flight team is familiar and comfortable with the medical interior and systems.
Responsible for completion of required documentation.
Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
Participates regularly in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees and community outreach.

Operation and Safety Requirements:
As a member of the Flight Crew, any person employed in this position shall maintain a weight not to exceed 250 pounds and shall be less than seventy (70) years old.

Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Program:

100 hours unaided night as PIC (50 hours of unaided can be substituted for by 100 hours of NVG time, but cannot be reduced below 50 hours of unaided time)
75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time at least 50 hours which were in flight in an aircraft including 20 hours in actual instrument conditions in category
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft)(ATP rating in category meets this requirement)
Fixed wing multiengine rating is required for twin-engine aircraft
Commercial single-engine land is required for single-engine aircraft
First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

What you will be doing
Neros is seeking skilled pilots to fly our FPV's. This position involves a blend of R&D testing, flight operations, and product demonstrations, requiring strong technical expertise and exceptional piloting skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers to refine FPV systems, execute test flights, and may engage with customers about our products.
This position will primarily be designated as the Production Qualifications Test Pilot. This person will be expected to demonstrate precise acrobatic maneuvers, and the craft will be tested in manual acrobatic mode via line of sight. Flight testing will be the critical skillset for this role as well as additional responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Flight Operations & Piloting:
First-Person-View acro flying.
Adapting well to uncomfortable situations/performing under pressure.
Operating within FAA Part 107 regulations.
Production Line Assembly:
Ability to read and execute work instructions for sub and main assemblies
Work on both brand new builds as well as non-conformant rework
R&D Testing & Development:
Collaborate with engineers on air and ground systems, assisting in design feedback, testing, and refinement.
Develop a deep understanding of system integration and functionality.
Conduct daily test flights and provide technical feedback.
Assist in developing and improving test procedures and safety protocols.
You should have the following
Expert-level acro FPV drone piloting.
Expert in Betaflight.
PID tuning and blackbox.
Strong technical understanding of UAV systems (both air and ground components).
Part 107 certified (or ability to obtain).
Proficiency in safety and risk assessment.
Mechanical assembly experience, including hands-on work with UAV components.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and how they integrate into UAV platforms.
High attention to detail.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to challenging environments and remain composed under pressure.
US Salary Range
$30.00 - $40.00 USD per hour
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Operates ACI Jet aircraft in a safe and efficient manner while in compliance with all company rules and regulations, manufacturers' limitations and manuals, governmental rules and regulations, and any other requirements of agencies having jurisdiction over the flight
Coordinate with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch personnel to ensure that the goals and objectives relating to assigned flight operations are achieved and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
Provide unparalleled courtesy, professionalism and customer service to ACI Jet clients and owners
Ensures that Electronic Flight Bag(s) (EFB) are kept current with the latest navigation and application dates
