Under direct supervision, to assist professional planners in performing a variety of planning and routine office clerical duties in a planning environment; and perform related work as required.

Employment Standards: Knowledge of understanding the techniques of preparing plans, maps, graphs, and charts; basic zoning and planning concepts and codes; basic understanding of maps and plans; basic mathematics as applied to the calculation of fees and review of plans; record keeping and practices; office procedures and methods; applicable computer hardware and software. Skill in word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; assess customer needs and make recommendations; assist in the design, delivery and evaluation of business processes and customer management; learn new software programs including Geographic Information Systems; establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, and the public.

THE ROLE: Production Planning Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support manufacturing by creating production schedules that reconcile production capacity with demand for fabricated components, following the factory's master schedule.

· Communicating plans, plan revisions, and production vs. plan to all Manufacturing, support, and business stakeholders.

· Work with manufacturing & support teams to establish & improve processes (e.g. production batch sizes, material transfer processes & controls) for just-in-time or line-side Kanban delivery.

Pasco County Planning & Development department is currently seeking to fill the role of a Planning & Zoning Tech. II for Current Planning. This position includes responsible technical and administrative work in the review, evaluation, and enforcement of the zoning and land development regulations. Duties include lead worker responsibility.

Essential Job Functions

* Reviews and performs interdepartmental coordination of development applications.
* Originates technical review comments.
* Interfaces with developers, owners, engineers, and attorneys.
* Prepares agenda items for Planning Commission, Development Review Committee, and Board of County Commissioners.
* Reviews and analyzes development applications for compliance with applicable laws and ordinances.

* Analyzes and formulates data to produce reports, manipulates data base to create graphic representations (AML programming), reads and enters legal descriptions into GIS and researches zoning and parcel history to assure proper input into GIS when necessary.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree from an accredited college or universityand one (1) year of experience in review for compliance with planning, zoning, building, and land development or similar regulations OR graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma and three (3) years' of experience in review for compliance with planning, zoning, building, and land development or similar regulations. College level courses in engineering, surveying, and/or planning related studies preferred.
