Position Overview
This position will be filled as a Level II or Level II based on experience.To maintain and ensure capacity of equipment assets in assigned areas of responsibility that impact optimal efficiencies at lowest reasonable cost.
Responsibilities:
+ Execution of assigned tasks and duties with focus on: Safe work practices. High quality, precision work with a customer service orientation in support of "Great Products & Service".
+ Adherence to standards and best practice application acquired through training and work experience.
+ Learn and grow in knowledge of maintenance practices and equipment performance, understanding their impact on manufacturing processes and business objectives.
+ Provide feedback on job assignment needs and improvement opportunities with peers and leadership.
+ Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest, reasonable performance levels to include mechanical systems including, but not limited to: Power transmission components - bearings, pulleys/sheaves, shafts/rollers, couplings, sprockets, chains, belts, motors, and gearboxes.
+ Conveyance systems - product/process related, as well as those tied to utilities such as steam, water, air, electricity, etc. which could include pumps, piping, etc.
+ Mechanical control systems - including related hydraulic & pneumatic elements.
+ Troubleshoot and execute repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivity opportunities and issues.
+ Communicate findings, identifying potential causes, and correction steps to operations and maintenance leadership.
+ Execute proactive maintenance plans on assigned equipment to include: Preventive Maintenance (PM) - inspection & measurement of equipment components for proper function, including replacement of components on pre-defined schedules and lubrication.
+ Predictive Maintenance (PdM) - inspection, measurement, with focus on data collection with PdM tools related to equipment performance .
+ Condition Maintenance (CM) - repair and replacement of components identified as requiring attention through PM & PdM activities based on detailed job plans.
+ Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement (PI) efforts identified as critical to business objectives
+ Assist Reliability Tech B's, A's, and Leads in installation and removal of general mechanical systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Makes inspection trips, reports abnormal conditions, diagnosis trouble and takes proper corrective measures of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Instructs operating personnel on electric control systems on various equipment
- Locate trouble and makes adjustment and operating repairs to electrical equipment, including but not limited to: paging systems, speed control systems, fire alarm systems, demineralizers, setting limit switches on motors and hydraulically controlled valves, changes, adjusts and services brushes on motors, generators and other electrical equipment.

Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Graduated from at least a 2 year electrical course in a recognized technical school
- 5 years electrical experience gained on electrical equipment associated with boiler and turbine equipment or equivalent experience
- Minimum on a Massachusetts Journeymen s Electrician s license
- Advanced understand of fundamental principles involved in station layout and the construction, function and operation of electrical equipment, circuits and associated devices
- Theory of A.C. and D.C. circuits, machinery and instruments
- Correct use of fault locating testing equipment, instruments, and apparatus assigned to for the performance of work
- Ability to read and understand complex wiring diagrams
- Tagging and operating of electrical equipment rules and regulations
- Hourly Rate - $49.92/hr

**Summary**
Maintain, diagnose, and perform overall preventative maintenance on electrical equipment within and around the facility, so as to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production chargeable to electrical maintenance.
**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Generate work orders as necessary repairs are discovered.
+ Be proficient and able to repair, install, and maintain control circuits and motors, in three phase volts: 480 volts, 440 volts, 220 volts, and 208 volts. Also single phase volts: 120/110 volts.
+ Diagnose repairs to circuit board level.
+ Read and understand electrical schematic diagrams.
+ Respond to emergency breakdowns during both on and off duty hours, to ensure operations continue on a 24 hour a day basis.
+ Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout, and Perdue safety book guidelines.
**Minimum Education**
+ High School or equivalent.
**Experience Requirements**
+ Must possess knowledge of electrical motors, controls, PLC's, lighting systems and general wiring methods.
+ Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required.
+ Must be NFPA 70E, CPR and First Aid Certified.
+ Must have the ability to move through the facility and carry required eqipment and tools, which could weigh as much as 100lbs.
+ Must wear FR rated clothing as required.
**Experience Preferred**
+ 3 to 5 years experience as an Industrial Electrician
+ Exerience in the poultry industry preferred.
+ Two year technical college is preferred.
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to work for 8 hours or more in a stationary position or travel on a wet, moist, dry, greasy floors which may include metal or plastic grating surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval.
+ Ability to work from various types of ladders and/or stairs.
+ Exposure to and work in temperatures of less than -40 degrees and 75 degrees with ambient humidity. Noise exposure of 110 db, and light intensity range of 50 to 100 foot candles.
+ Bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the maintenance task required. Exposure to chlorinated water (50 ppm, ammonia vapors ) 5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant.
+ Must use and / or wear protective and safety equipment required for the job.
