Precision Inc history

In 1949, PRECISION’s founder invented the miniaturized aerosol valve for mass production: the Modern Industry of Aerosol was created.

In 1954 Paul and Angeline Oddo began a business called A-1 Louvre Window Company, located on Western Avenue in Los Angeles.

Marinus VanderKodde and Burt Ericson founded Precision Template Co. in 1956.

A-1 continued to experience a need for expansion which lead to their third move in 1961.

Then in 1963 Precision Rollforming moved to Gardena to house the developing line of rollformers, making it one of the largest rollforming plants in Southern California.

General Precision was sold to Singer in 1968.

1971 began a series of changes for A-1 Aluminum.

The rapid expansion and growth continued until the 1980’s saw the addition of new branches in Riverside, San Diego, and Union City.

William Hoyer began working at Precision in 1988 as a Product Engineer for a focused segment of the business.

On January 1, 1989 the diversified companies were once again consolidated into one corporation – Superior Engineered Products Corporation with three divisions; Superior Window Products, Superior Building Products, and Superior Structural Systems.

His role expanded quickly and in 1990 he purchased a majority ownership stake in the company.

Then in 1997 our Millwork Products was launched.

Incorporated in 2001 and growing each year since inception, Precision has been a trusted partner to companies around the globe for two decades.

Abby joined Precision in 2004, holding a variety of leadership roles throughout her 17-year career with the company.

2005In June of 2005, Prime-Line Products purchased the Superior Building Products division from Superior Engineered Products Corporation.

2008In the beginning of 2008, Prime-Line moved the Superior roll forming department to the Redlands location.

In 2013 PAC had located a new building on Corporate Grove Blvd. and began to prepare it for world class manufacturing.

In 2020, Precision announced its partnership with New Capital Partners to invest in the further development of Precision’s products and services to better serve our valued clients.
