Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Design Principal Engineer to join our team at our client’s site in Dulles, VA.

Our clients team is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer who feeds off the opportunity of rolling up their sleeves to take on meaningful problems each and every day. The Principal Infrastructure Engineer will join a team responsible for platform infrastructure design for a critical national asset. This includes operating system, COTS Stack, server, network and storage hardware design, and configuration of private cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience with network infrastructure technologies, services, operations, and security. This position may require some on call support and overtime as well and limited (< 20%) travel as required for installation and troubleshooting support.
An existing US Government Secret security clearance is required for this position.



Required Skills:


Minimum of (8)+ years of progressively responsible experience designing COTS infrastructure and private cloud environments Proficiency in matching system requirements to compute capabilities and the knowledge and ability to select specific hardware and infrastructure to meet those requirements Proficient working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization (VMware) Proficient at building, and configuring servers running Linux RHEL Knowledge and experience with Application and Security protocols, such as Solarwinds, HBSS, Certificates & Tokens, RSA, McAfee SIEM, McAfee IPS/IDS, Rubrik Host Backup System, SAN storage, and Active Directory Demonstrated knowledge of EMC Unity storage Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and support of VMware’s product line Experience in working with highly hardened/secure environments Adjust quickly to changing priorities High level of motivation, self-starter Process Oriented


Desired Skills:


Background in COTS product installation Experience with automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for O/S builds, software installation and configuration Experience with DISA STIGs Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)


Education Requirements:


A degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Math (STEM), or related STEM degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology and 8 years of relatable experience.

Productive Resources ( ) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be working in a collaborative team environment in which you will perform technical leadership in high level analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems in accordance with engineering standards and project scope. This is a non-supervisory position.

Participate in the budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements and preparing justification data as required.

Research, study, and propose use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products.

Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet project requirements.
Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability. Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication. Communicate project objectives to team members. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues. Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support. Provide guidance and establish priorities for team members to ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed and documented. Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records. Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations. Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and apply mitigations into designs. Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the Oshkosh Way. Conduct duties consistent with the Company's mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures.


Requirements:


Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. 5-plus years of related experience. Able to obtain a secret security clearance as required by job duties. Must be able to report in person 2-4 days per week according to business needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Possess a strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles and related systems. Ability to travel 40-60% on site weekly required.


Preferred Skills:


Experience with a high-level CAD and PDM system, preferably CREO/Windchill. Experience with MBSE tools including SysML software (MagicDraw, Cameo). Experience with Human System Interface (HSI), armor, cab layout, or combat vehicles. Experience Performing Component and Small Assembly FEA. Preferably using CREO Simulate. Experience with Advanced GD&T and its application to heavy metal structures and assemblies. PMP certification.

+ Verilog expertise is required as is a deep understanding of ASIC design flow including RTL design, verification, logic synthesis, prototyping, DFT, timing analysis, floor-planning, ECO, bring-up & lab debug.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, global team.
