A Day in the Life
As a Principal Hardware Engineer, you will develop verification environments, tools, capabilities, and methodologies that increase the productivity and effectiveness of ASIC, hardware, and firmware design teams. You will work closely with your engineering partners to identify, select, and integrate new tools / methodologies in the verification environment. This may include working with tool vendors and performing software evaluations.
Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Collaborate with HW/FW stakeholders to define test environment requirements, design hardware and software architecture, integrate custom hardware and off-the-shelf equipment to stand-up test environment, and create / execute method validation tests.
- On-going collaboration to provide additional capabilities / updates as hardware and firmware changes throughout development life cycle.
- Work with ASIC designers to implement design for test methodologies that enable HW / FW verification.
- Utilize hardware / firmware skills and product knowledge to collaborate with FW verification engineers in evaluation of verification test failures to identify root-cause and corrective action.
- Provide guidance to technicians and less experienced engineers.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

- Strong hardware skills (Analog and Digital circuit functionality and debug, able to read / interpret circuit schematics)
