Summary Statement: Applies basic and some advanced technical skills and knowledge to perform all of the primary work operations required to chemically clean to remove grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from material or parts for operational aircraft applications. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Performs tasks that are simple to moderately complex requiring some skill, experience and judgment to complete relative to cleaning parts manually or by operating automated clean line equipment. Works under close to general supervision and determines plans and actions from standard procedural alternatives. Reviews work instructions, operations manuals and other documentation to define the requirement for the processing of the parts are material to be cleaned. Loads objects on conveyor that carries them through series of chemical and rinsing baths, or places objects on racks or in containers and immerses objects in chemical and rinsing solutions. Starts the process equipment and monitor the process line equipment to ensure proper overall operation. Makes adjustments to equipment as required to ensure the objects undergoing cleaning are processed to the applicable specifications. Monitors the chemical solution in the process tanks to maintain the specified liquid level and chemical mixture of the process tanks. Add specified amount of chemical to solutions as required. Drains, cleans, and refills tanks with chemicals on a periodic basis or as otherwise instructed by management. May perform manual cleaning of parts or material using manually applied cleaning solutions as required. Applies Alodine solution to coat parts or material per specifications. Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: PROCESS OPERATOR - CLEAN LINE Formal Education, Training and Work Experience: Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. High school or equivalent and two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Completion or the approved Company training course for clean line operations will meet the experience requirements for this job. Level of Supervision Required: The level of supervision required described here is representative of that which must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for completion to quality standards and schedule requirements. May adapt techniques and tools to meet special needs with approval from management. Special Skills, Licenses or Job Requirements: Demonstrate competency in applying the following in performing normal job duties. • Read and process specifications and work instructions. • Knowledgeable of processing equipment and powered lifting vehicles as required. • Capable of using standard hand tools and special tools or equipment for the assigned area of work. Special Training and Behavioral Competencies: • Safety training as required by OSHA. • Complete the required NORDAM University training for all Stakeholders. • Respirator training, certification and fit test. Must be clean shaven at the respirator seal. • Comply with The NORDAM Group Leadership Competencies for Stakeholders. • Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders. • Ability to learn tasks and processes that are not related to the primary job assignment.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

Summary / Purpose:

Monitor seed line equipment during operations to ensure high quality seed processing and production.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor seed processing equipment during operations.
  • Follow procedures and documentation, communicate clearly during shift change, avoid contamination and ensure product is tagged correctly.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Inspect and quality check product, verify accuracy.
  • Interpret specifications and calibrate machines to reach goals.
  • Simultaneously operate multiple pieces of equipment to produce product efficiently.
  • Operate systems such as Human Manufacturing Interface (HMI) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Train and lead temp labor crews in seed processing functions
  • Monitor indicators to assess progress production, and maintenance needs.
  • Drive forklift to move inventory, pallets and other equipment.
  • Ensure Company handbook, Rules Guidelines and Procedures and safety policies are followed and personal protective equipment is used correctly.
