We are currently looking for a Junior Production Artist to work out of our Assembly Row office. This role is part of the PUMA North America Creative Services Team, an extension of the Global Creative Services Department.
The Creative Services Team conceives, designs, writes, lays out, and aids in the production of creative content for the PUMA brand. The content developed by the Creative Services Team is applied across various channels and regions in an effort to express brand vision and to inspire purchase of PUMA products.
The Junior Production Artist will report into the Team Head, PNA Creative Services and will primarily support PUMA's cross-category e-commerce design needs.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with lead designers, art directors, copy writers, and planners.
* Adhere to brand guidelines and internal production standards related to mechanical build and file management.
* Release final digital-ready files, while maintaining high standards of design and typography.
* Follow production schedules to ensure tasks are being completed on time.
* Provide production knowledge and troubleshoot issues.
* Provide commercial knowledge on how to best utilize the creative assets across multiple channels.
* Conduct QA of outsourced assets to ensure all requirements are met prior to asset release.
* Participate in status meeting, production discussion sessions, and creative reviews.
* Layout and design emails, website headers and digital marketing.
* Research photos and images as needed.
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of design experience in either an advertising, studio or client-side agency environment.
* Must have good design skills and layout sense, especially for online and digital spaces.
* Candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable in website functionality, layout and design.
* Have an understanding of UX design.
* Basic retouching skills.
* Must be knowledgeable of design trends.
* Must be able to follow and understand external publication's spec sheet.
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills to support the creative team to build a seamless workflow.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient with MAC system.
