Position Description:
Operates production equipment according to process instructions, shop floor control, and product specification sheets in order to produce a quality product. Leads the activities on assigned line(s) and is responsible to maintain a safe and well-kept area. KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain safe, clean and friendly work environment
Ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded
Follow guidelines of sampling procedures and input of data to SPC system
Interpret SPC data and make necessary adjustments within the process control limitations
Operate and adjust machines within process limitations as directed that will produce various plastic parts, maintaining optimum machine operating efficiency and uptime

Effectively generate breakdown work orders and document other related downtimes
Work closely with process technician and other support staff to assure maximum quality levels and machine uptime
Monitor all blending equipment for proper and continuous feed operation to production line(s)
Assist in the training of supporting IP's and other personnel
Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and diagrams
Ability to read and understand metric system measurements
Analyze and troubleshoot problem areas
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Supply cartons and bags to the Production
Move boxes of finished product from conveyor to trailers or other staging areas
Remove unused and scrap packaging materials from the line and transport them to the Middle warehouse for storage or recycling

Summary
The primary role of the Production Operator is to manufacture quality products in a safe manner.

* Must read and follow written instructions to ensure customer demands are met and utilize a computer for inventory tracking and traceability.
* Thread-up and operation of Wire Spooling machines. This may include the manipulation of up to 900-pound spools.
* Winding of the aluminum wire onto carrier spools.
* Boxing and packaging of carrier spools. Moving pallets utilizing an industrial fork truck.
* Maintaining a clean and neat work area.
* Support and participate in corporate initiatives that improve overall business performance as needed such as lean, EH&S, etc.

Job Responsibilities
Operate production machinery and equipment to manufacture components according to specifications and production schedules.
Set up machines, load materials, and monitor operations to ensure proper performance and quality output.
Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify accuracy and consistency.
Adjust machine settings as needed and report mechanical issues or defects to maintenance or supervision.
Follow work orders, blueprints, and standard operating procedures to ensure correct product manufacturing.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company safety standards and PPE requirements.
Record production data, complete required documentation, and communicate any issues to shift leaders.
Assist with basic machine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
