The Coating Operator position requires a self-starter working with minimal supervision. Work assignments will include operation of all the equipment associated with the coating area, working within written procedures, and gaining a thorough understanding of the process and its impact on other production processes. Employee must be conscientious and accurately maintain process and accountability records.
Responsibilities:
Setup and breakdown coating reactor

Qualifications:
5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP chemical processing or vacuum coating operation (pyrolytic carbon coating especially preferred) or 2 years college course work in chemistry, math, electronics, or equivalent
Basic computer skills including at minimum, be adept in use of MS Office, internet, and electronic mail. Experience using Microsoft Windows computer operating environment including ability to navigate file structures (folders, directories, files, etc…)
Ability to read, analyze, interpret and follow written instructions
Ability to interpret and follow oral instructions
Required to read, write and speak English with good command of the language, and use simple math

AlphaGraphics Austin is hiring an experienced Sign Installation & Production Technician to join our fast-paced sign department. This is a hybrid install + production role that offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to be a key contributor to a high-performing, values-driven team.
What You'll Do
You'll split your time between:
On-Site Installations
Install wall murals, window graphics, floor vinyl, and occasional rigid signs throughout the Austin area.
Use our company van and/or your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
Interact directly with clients to ensure a polished, professional result.
In-House Production
Work with state-of-the-art equipment to prep and produce graphics: lamination, trimming, weeding, masking, and finishing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform vinyl installations for walls, windows, floors, vehicles, and architectural signage.
Prepare and maintain substrates, including cleaning, measuring, and leveling surfaces.
Operate and maintain vinyl cutters, laminators, and other sign production equipment.
Read and interpret job tickets, design proofs, and installation layouts accurately.
Safely use ladders, lifts, and tools while adhering to company safety standards.
Communicate with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and solve issues in the field or production area with minimal supervision.
Assist with packaging, quality control, and general production support as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Contribute ideas for improving processes, quality, and efficiency.
Who You Are

Experienced - 2+ years installing vinyl graphics (especially walls, windows, and floors)
Detail-oriented - you take pride in clean edges, level installs, and durable finishes

Tech-friendly - comfortable using production software and reading job tickets

What You Bring
2+ years of professional experience installing vinyl graphics
Experience with lamination, trimming, weeding, and prepping vinyl
A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to use your own vehicle for local travel (mileage reimbursed)
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Comfort working independently and on ladders up to 12 ft
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
Bonus: Experience with vehicle wraps

As a Field Robot Operator, you will be responsible for driving a van and deploying our robot fleet in Austin, TX.
