Production & Safety Operations

Tank Wash / Cleaning / Housekeeping (as assigned)
Clean portable tanks, valves, filters, pumps, and other equipment using appropriate cleaning chemicals, pressure washers, brushes, scrapers, etc.
Operate automated tank-washer machinery when required.
Perform area housekeeping duties, including removal of trash and rags at the end of shift.
Support any other tasks required to complete the production process.
Pre-Kit / Material Coordination / Fill-Off / Batch-Making / Milling (as assigned)
Depending on assignment and training, perform one or more of the following:
Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods; retrieve materials needed for batch-makers, adjusters, tinters, and fill-off as required.
Operate forklift as needed to move materials (daily inspection and documentation required).
Assist in material delivery to batch-makers, return of leftover materials or empty containers to designated disposal/reconditioning areas, and proper handling of hazardous waste containers (labeling, dating, accumulation area).
Assist fill-off operators in obtaining correct containers; fill approved batches (1 gallon to 5000 gallons) into appropriate shipping containers; measure/ weigh for correct yield; check for leaks; complete batch tickets; label and send containers to shipping.
After fill-off: clean pumps, tanks, filter housing, and hoses; properly label and stage cleaning materials; stencil containers to meet shipment requirements.
Perform batch-making: weigh/measure raw materials per batch tickets, coordinate sample testing, implement QC adjustments as needed, and maintain housekeeping standards.
For milling / grinding operations (if assigned): setup, operate and break down mill; handle media/screens; observe flow/temperature controls; perform lock-out/tag-out procedures; lift metal objects (up to 40 lb, 5 ft height); inspect equipment wear; check grind fineness; adjust color as required.
Be prepared to support other production tasks for which you are trained, as required by production needs.

Fill Off
* Transfer completed products into containers of various sizes and types (1 qt cans to tankers). Identify and apply the correct information on the containers and or proper documents while following all fill off and safety procedures
* Fill off approved batches ranging from 1 gallon to 5000 gallons into the proper shipping containers
* Measure the amount of product into the correct container for proper yield, by weighing and/or measuring the weight of the material in the containers with the tools provided
* Once containers are filled and all openings are closed and tightened, check for leaks around the ring, bungs, and chimes
* Properly complete the batch ticket as instructed, label all containers, and number them in the sequence they were filled off
* Once the batch ticket has been approved and signed by the supervisor, send the containers to the shipping department along with the batch ticket
* Properly dispose of filters; wash out the pump; wash the tanks, filter housing, and hoses with the appropriate cleansing material

During the kitting or packing process, scan the items in the picking tote to a shipping carton to assure accuracy of picked items (visual scan of item number/s and quantity).
Packaging orders for shipping using the appropriate packing material to protect against damage by the carrier. Meet instructions & requirements as noted on the packing slip.

Receive and unload UPS, FedEx and Motor Freight shipments daily
Operate a forklift or other powered industrial truck
Check in material by matching the contents of the carton with our SuiteWM system. This match will be done after the correct purchase order for the items in the carton has been entered.
Pick orders / work orders correctly by scanning the bin location and item into the picking tote as directed by the tools. Ensure that the quantity picked matches all records.
Once the work order hose assembly has been completed, receive the work order, assign a bin location and shelve the material.
During the kitting or packing process, scan the items in the picking tote to a shipping carton to assure accuracy of picked items (visual scan of item number/s and quantity).
Packaging orders for shipping using the appropriate packing material to protect against damage by the carrier. Meet instructions & requirements as noted on the packing slip.
Perform daily inventory cycle count.

Job Description
This position will oversee production lines and staff to ensure timely and efficient work flow, while meeting finished product specifications. In this role, will also partner with Quality Assurance to ensure quality standards are met, and will track labor and raw product yields.
Accountabilities:
Communicate with Production staff and management team to ensure proper follow through on duties.
Perform product inventory cycle counts as directed.
Maintain accurate documentation for food safety purposes.
Advise management of unsafe conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
Communicate well (both written and verbal) with management, as well as direct employees in a productive/professional manner.
Assist with scheduling of work teams, and initiate short and long-term plans with Production Management.
Assist with training of employees and ensure they are provided ongoing skills development and coaching, to improve job performance.
Assess daily and weekly output, identify issues in productivity, and manage the allocation of people and equipment, to address day-to-day variations in demand and capacity, across assigned lines.
Perform tasks as related to position of production employee when needed.
Minimum Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc.).
Bi-lingual: English and Spanish
At least 1 year prior experience in a similar role in a production environment.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate well (both written and verbal) with management as well as direct employees in a productive/professional manner.
Must be able to work in a production area which includes noise, equipment moving, sharp utensils, wet, and cold (
Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
Preferred:
Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) experience.
Fork Lift and/or Electric pallet jack experience.
Food Experience (Fresh Fruit)

Currently seeking machine operator to preform routine daily functions in the Lexington area!
Shift:
1st AND 3rd available.
6am - 6pm (1st)
6pm - 6am (3rd)
2-2-3 rotating schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, every other 3 day weekend)
Pay Rates:
$14-$15
Requirements:
Must be able to communicate with Peers and management.
