Reporting any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor.
Maintaining floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow Associates, who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities.
Communicating to management those Associates who persist in violations of safety rules and/or procedures.
Wearing required personal protective equipment properly and reporting any defective PPE.
Reporting all near misses, accidents, injuries or illnesses, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders.
Responsible for following established lock out/tag out procedures. All equipment and machinery shall be locked or tagged out before an employee places any body part in equipment during servicing or maintenance where the unexpected energization, start-up or release of stored energy, could cause injury.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Check material box levels (color, additives, crystal, regrind) at the beginning of each Shift. 30 minutes
Periodically check material flow, troubleshoot and resolve issues. 30 minutes
Assist with bringing supplies and materials to the production line. (i.e., boxes, pallets, bulk bins, film and other supplies required to package product). 30 minutes
Label weigh, store all regrind and raw materials at designated areas. 30 minutes
Assist with relieving other Associates for breaks. 3 associates plus himself x 75 minutes = 300 / 60 = 5 hours
Remove all trash and cardboard from the packing area by the end of shift. 45 minutes
Grind scrap sheet and bad product accumulated. Varies in time base on how the lines or running. 1 hour
Assist the Line Operator in starting the line. 30 minutes
Assist with maintaining good housekeeping of the line, replacing oil pads on the forming station and around the Trimpress. 1 hour
Assist with cleaning the grinder pit. 15 minutes
Assist with making material line connections/disconnections. Unstopping lines. 30 minutes
Assist with monitoring material handling systems. 1 hour
Cleaning blender filters, monitor and empty outside pump cyclones on SL 3. 1
Setup and breakdown Gaylord boxes. 15 minutes

Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor blown film extrusion machinery to produce quality film products according to production specifications.

Machine Operators complete a variety of maintenance, development and operations tasks that promote the efficient production of a manufacturing plant, or other professional setting. Responsibilities:
Carry out production, inspections, planned maintenance, packaging, and machine operation duties

Maintain assigned equipment in peak operating condition
Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available
Effectively monitor production equipment for proper operation and make adjustments to the machine until the product meets Q.A. requirements
