Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the operation of bottling or finishing equipment as directed by the Supervisor.
Set up production lines with the correct materials, packaging, and supplies.
Load bottles, caps, labels, or packaging materials onto the line as needed.
Inspect products for correct labeling, proper fill, and overall quality.
Ensure each product meets company standards before packing or moving to the next stage.
Follow established line procedures to maintain a consistent and efficient workflow.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
Remove any defective materials or products and report concerns to the Supervisor.
Support line changeovers by preparing materials and helping set up the next production run.
Follow all safety rules, operational procedures, and company policies.
Assist teammates and collaborate with other departments as assigned.

The primary purpose of this position is to set-up, maintain, operate, test and inspect product, and perform repairs on associated departmental equipment in conformance to FDA, GMP's, ISO 13485 standards and finished product specifications. Minimize scrap generation from processes and promote workplace safety. Provide process information to management so production equipment may be optimized and/or process corrected. Assist with training of personnel to perform various functions within each assigned area. Facilitate work flow and ensure product quality is maintained.

Accountabilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor according to the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), ISO 13485 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures. Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of its employees/visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources and protects the environment.
Complete all pertinent paperwork pertaining to the finished product being produced according to established guidelines in the manufacturing procedures.
Prepare and maintain required maintenance equipment records. Use of micrometers, dial calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to perform dimensional and physical inspections. Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Uses ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling standard, part drawings, and specifications to determine inspection and testing required as well as acceptable quality levels.
Selects products for inspection evaluation at specified stages in production process, performs various visual, dimensional, performance, mechanical, electrical, or chemical inspections per required characteristics.
Report any unusual circumstances to supervisor and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Basic computer skills with windows based programs.
Responsible for the observation of department regulations and to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required; must be safety conscious and Lockout/Tag-out trained.
Transport hazardous waste to accumulation areas. Complete Annual Hazardous Waste (RCRA) refresher training.
Cross-train and support where needed throughout the facility.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology); or equivalent combination of training and experience.
3-4 years medical device manufacturing related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.

The Machine Operator is committed to providing the customer with the highest quality product in an efficient and cost effective manner. Keep equipment and the surrounding area clean and free of debris at all times, including end of shift. Garbage and recycling containers must be emptied at the end of the shift.

About the Role
As a Machine Operator, you will:
Operate and monitor production line(s) to ensure efficiency
Remove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow
Ensure package and product quality
Perform preventative maintenance
Operate all manufacturing equipment (including new technologies) efficiently and safely
Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift
Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices.

Experience and Key Qualifications
18 years or older
High School Diploma or GED required
A minimum of 2 years of food production experience required
Experience with high-speed production lines (e.g., high output, high performance equipment, fast paced production environment, etc.)
Experience with pallets (e.g., operating a forklift, stacking/bundling product, etc.)
Experience operating a packing machine (e.g., stacking, bundling, and wrapping product, etc.)
Experience operating a filler machine (e.g., ensuring the right mix of product, operating a production computer, etc.)
Experience operating a palletizer (e.g., building pallets, managing product changeovers, etc.)
Experience reading schedules (e.g., products being produced, understanding production requirements, production planning, managing changeovers, etc.)

This position is performed in manufacturing environment. Essential Job Functions:
Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts)
Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
Ability to read, understand, and adhere to a production manufacturing schedule and communicate issues or deviations with the appropriate parties.
Maintain production flow on machinery by monitoring downstream and upstream issues, supplying raw materials to the equipment, and performing minor servicing if and when needed.
Follow all Quality Assurance and Production line standard operating procedures.
Follow standard operating procedures to perform equipment changeovers; ability to read imperial and metric measurements.
Record all necessary information for production and quality records. Keep accurate downtime reports and documentation.
Responsible for performing equipment and general sanitation in your work area or as assigned by leadership.
Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce waste.
Ability to understand visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine related issues.
Perform minor machine maintenance.
Perform any other duties assigned by leadership including but not limited to cross training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, training, etc.
Required Skills:
Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment, beverage production experience preferred.
Demonstrates the ability to gain a firm understanding of production machinery/forklifts, including an awareness of technical issues.

Skill in understanding and interpreting gauges, thermometers, and weight measurements.
